JLR is an automotive company that sells cars under the Jaguar and Land Rover brands.
Jaguar Land Rover North America hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the Jaguar Land Rover settlement, class members can receive several non-monetary benefits, including free repairs, extended warranties, software updates and more.
JLR agreed to issue a field service action that will grant drivers a free retrofit or upgrade to their vehicles’ InControl System, according to the settlement. These repairs will allow further software updates to be delivered to vehicles over the internet.
The settlement also extends the existing New Vehicle Limited Warranty by one year. Under this extended warranty, an additional year of repairs will be covered for the InControl infotainment system and establishes an online resource page and retailer assistance and assessment program to educate drivers and retailers about this issue and available remedies.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is July 22, 2024.
The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Oct. 10, 2024.
No claim form is required to receive benefits from the Jaguar Land Rover settlement. Class members who do not exclude themselves will automatically receive settlement benefits.

3 thoughts onJaguar Land Rover InControl infotainment class action settlement
Hello, I wrote a letter stating that I wanted to be a part of the case. My letter was returned with a post-it on it that said, “no case.” There seems to be a case, and again I would like to be part of it. Can you let me know if I am a part of it?
Hello
My 2017 Land rover Discovery does in fact have a failed infotainment system. Landrover quoted me $2800 to replace it. Am I part of this action?
Thank you
It has been determined that all benefits will be non-monetary such that any replacements of Infotainment systems within class vehicles will not be reimbursed.
