UI Community HomeCare reported there is no indication of misused data, but it encouraged patients to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud by reviewing personal account statements and monitoring free credit reports for suspicious activity and to detect errors.
The company is not offering credit monitoring services at this time because there is no indication that patients’ information has been misused.
UI Community HomeCare says it is taking the incident very seriously and is committed to making continued improvements to strengthen its systems against future incidents. The company added that it has implemented new monitoring tools, updated firmware, changed passwords and removed files from impacted hardware.
