Consumers who purchased the Sensa Weight Loss System will be receiving checks in the mail as part of a class action settlement over claims the products were falsely advertised.
The money is from a 2012 class action settlement between Sensa Products LLC and consumers who alleged the company tricked consumers into buying its “weight-loss” crystals by using marketing claims that were not backed by scientific proof.
Sensa denied the allegations and maintained that its marketing claims were substantiated by three product studies and scientific research regarding neurology and the science of smell and taste. The company agreed to a $9 million class action settlement, however, to resolve the litigation and uncertainty of going to trial.
Under the Sensa class action settlement, consumers who purchased Sensa weight loss products prior to Aug. 21, 2012, were entitled to receive refunds if they submitted a valid claim by the Dec. 13, 2012 deadline.
A federal court granted final approval to the Sensa class action settlement on Nov. 9, 2012, but distribution of settlement funds was suspended due to an appeal. According to Settlement Administrator Garden City Group, all appeals have been resolved and distribution of the Sensa settlement benefits occurred on Feb. 19, 2014.

I put my claim in over a year ago and have never got a penny.
Now that I think about it I think it was two years ago I put my claim in.
If there was a law suit in 2012, why was Sensa available to purchase in 2013? I don’t understand. I just heard about this law suit and apparently missed the deadline to obtain a refund!
I paid over $400.00 for this crap which cause me stomach problems that are just getting under control and I get $15.52. To bad I wasn’t one of the Lawyers as they got 3 million plus. Aren’t we the lucky ones.
