A plaintiff, Rodney W., has filed a lawsuit in Mississippi federal court against the manufacturers of Roundup, which he alleges caused his diagnosis of non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

According to the Roundup non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma lawsuit, the manufacturer of the product is the Monsanto Company. Rodney is a resident and citizen of Issaquena County, Miss.

According to the Roundup non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma lawsuit Rodney contends for approximately 30 years he continued to use Roundup and Roundup ProMax to spray his farm crops ranging from nearly 3,000 to 12,000 acres.

The plaintiff in this Roundup non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma lawsuit contends that he continuously took precautionary measures such as wearing protective clothing, goggles, and masks. The plaintiff says he took these action steps to minimize his exposure to the product’s chemicals.

However, after many years of use of the Roundup product, Rodney was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma on Nov. 10, 2016.

The Roundup non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma lawsuit maintains that his diagnosis was caused by his use of Roundup and Roundup ProMax.

According to the Roundup non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma lawsuit, “Monsanto Company knew that Roundup and Roundup ProMax were toxic to human beings who came into skin or respiratory contact with the sprayed chemicals contained in said products.”

Roundup Product and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Facts

Current lawsuits against the Monsanto Company allege that patients have been diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma after being exposed to Roundup.

NHL may develop from glyphosate, an ingredient found in Roundup.  NHL is a form of cancer that originates from white blood cells, which are part of the body’s immune system. White blood cells are also known as lymphocytes. This condition is most often diagnosed after exposure to glyphosate.

NHL, moreover, can also occur anywhere in the body, as the body’s lymphatic system and the lymphocytes move intracellularly throughout our bodies. It can begin anywhere in the body, such as the lymph nodes, spleen, bone marrow, thymus, adenoids, tonsils, and digestive tract.

Symptoms of NHL also may include the following: fever, swollen belly,  anemia, weight loss, shortness of breath or a cough, chest pain or pressure, and enlarged lymph nodes.

Allegations Against the Monsanto Company

Allegations against the Monsanto Company purport that the company falsified data and also attacked legitimate clinical studies that have been conducted proving the adverse effects and cancer risks caused by Roundup.

Allegations against the company further maintain that the company prolonged a campaign of misinformation in an effort to portray the effectiveness and safety of Roundup.

The Roundup Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Lawsuit is Case No. 3:17-cv-00862-WHB-JCG, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, Northern Division.
