justice-logoViewers of Top Class Actions are reporting that they are receiving checks worth as much as $175.48 in the mail from the Justice fake sale price class action settlement.

According to posts on the Top Class Actions Facebook page, Class Members who submitted valid claims for the Justice class action settlement began receiving checks on Sept. 21, 2017.

If you filed a claim for the Justice class action settlement, keep an eye on your mailbox because you may soon be receiving a settlement check.

This Justice fake sale settlement resolves a class action lawsuit that accused Tween Brands Inc. and Ascena Retail Group Inc. of engaging in deceptive and misleading advertising at Justice stores throughout the U.S.

According to the fake sale class action lawsuit, items at Justice stores were marked as “40% off” even though this “sale” price was actually the regular retail price.

“Defendants’ purported ‘discounts’ as described above did not exist,” the Justice class action lawsuit alleged. “Defendants always sold their products at the ‘discounted’ price. As such, Defendants’ allegedly reduced price was, in fact, Defendants’ regular price.”

Tween Brands and Ascena deny any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the Justice fake sale price class action lawsuit to avoid the burden and expense of ongoing litigation.

Class Members of the Justice fake sale price settlement include anyone who purchased merchandise from Justice stores between Jan. 1, 2012 and Feb. 28, 2015, except for Ohio residents who purchased merchandise from Ohio Justice stores between July 1, 2012 and Aug. 31, 2014 (the Ohio residents were eligible to participate in an earlier Justice sale price class action settlement).

Qualified Class Members of the Justice fake sale settlement were eligible to file a claim to receive a cash payment of up to 14 percent of their documented purchases or a voucher worth up to 20 percent of their documented purchases (if they provided proof of purchase), or up to $20 in cash or a $30 Justice voucher without proof of purchase.

The deadline to file a claim for the Justice fake sale class action settlement passed on April 4, 2016.

After the Justice class action settlement was reached, an appeal was filed. The appeal was resolved on April 27, 2017, and the Justice class action settlement was granted final approval on July 6, 2017.

I am documenting and keeping up with emails from them about my Voucher ….I sent them nearly $4000 dollars worth of purchased documentation in which I asked for a 20% of my purchase voucher redeemable at JUSTICE …..in an email today I was told that they have sent my voucher to my home which was returned and my email which was returned …..I call BS !!!! …….I was told that I would receive my E-VOUCHER within 30 days from now ….if not I say LET’S ALL FILE a secondary classaction lawsuit OURSELVES !!!!!!

  2. Lisa Robinson says:

I have ALL of my documents ? Every day I call? Can I sue a “fraudulent class action settlement group”

  3. Ruth Gatchell says:

I am still trying to get my 303.20 voucher. They continue to stall (lie) about it. Never received the one sent in September. They promise to sent, now an e voucher. Spoke with supervisor who said it was in the “que” but nothing ever arrives. Cannot believe that a court ordered payment of claims is so poorly handled without supervision! Apparently, they can get away with this type of thiefery! Disappointing.

    1. Ruth Gatchell says:

In reading others posts, chances r my voucher was stolen in the mail! Sending them on a postcard, with no verification of ownership – what were they thinking? Lots of people probably threw them away as junk mail. I read that the unclaimed funds go back to the company! Another total scam! Is there nothing claimants who have been cheated can do?

      1. Amber says:

I have been having the same problem. Finally found the e-voucher in my junk folder today after calling for 2 months!

  4. Noelia Sabio says:

so I got a voucher for 30 off of my purchase, I went to the store to use it and I was told that is for one item
only at a regular price. so I only purchased a sweater that the price was 26.00 and they keep the rest.
No justice at all, Justice store still ripping people off. very disappointed.

  5. Nisha thajudheen says:

I have been going back and forth with them for over a month now. We moved right after sending our claim in. So I contacted them and asked them to update the address which they said they did. Now comes voucher time. They sent 2 different vouchers to my old address. I keep going back and forth with them via email. They said they can send me an email voucher and to confirm my email address which i have done 4 times now. You have 20 emails with me back and forth and you need me to confirm my email address over and over again. This is a stall tactic. I have called to speak with a supervisor but never anyone available. It takes them 6 days to respond to my email. I am SUPER FRUSTRATED AND PISSED. They don’t have to give me my money because its $200 worth of vouchers. This is not right!!!

  7. Ruth Gatchell says:

According to the Administrator, a voucher for $303 has been sent to me two times now. I have never received it! Address is correct – first on September 29, and second on October 7th. Something fishy is going on here! Can’t get a straight answer frm them. Check with Administrator if you haven’t received yours as all have been sent out!

    1. Tiffany says:

Same thing with me, I have been calling for a month they said check was returned to them and they sent out again and still never received it….

      1. Ruth Gatchell says:

I still have not received a voucher or email voucher. I have called numerous times, only to get a different story from each person. I have requested to speak with a supervisor – none ever available! I am about to contact the office of Consumer Affairs with the Texas Attorney General. They are either incompetant or lying! The funds not given to claimants go back to the Justice ownership – according to the website all funds have been disbursed.

    2. Jen says:

I found it VERY interesting (STUPID!) when I received my voucher for nearly $100 in the mail. It was a POSTCARD complete with the dollar amount written in huge numbers on the front and the bar code on the back. In other words, these post card vouchers could have been very easily stolen from the mail, as they ARE transferable. I felt lucky to get mine because they basically sent a “gift card” though the mail with no envelope.

  8. Ray says:

What do I do if I received a $20.00 voucher when I selected option #2 cash, and provided documentation for $6395.10 in purchase receipts. I also included a calculator tape of the amounts totaled. After speaking to a representative they stated because I left the small blank line at the end of option #2 blank that I forfeit the total amount and they sent me a $20.00 voucher. I stated I had submitted all receipts and a total page, and I have copies of everything as a backup. the representative stated because I signed the form that I was signing that if I left the line blank I would forfeit the amount and automatically be considered for the $20.00 voucher. the claim form states you just need to select an option and submit purchase documentation. Also stated if the Claims Administrator is unable to validate that your documentation satisfies the requirements describer above, you may be contacted to provide additional documentation. I was never contacted and told the little line was left blank. Once I contacted the claims representative she stated sorry but nothing she can do or no one else to talk to above her head. What should I do? This is totally a rip off…. Thanks

I got my “$60.00” settlement voucher…Oh great since they are for in-store purchases only and my local store closed over a year ago…I get to drive 40-50 miles to spend the vouchers!!! I was NEVER told it was an instore voucher…Why can’t it be used online…they ripped me off online!

    1. Jill Walton says:

I’ll take it if you don’t want it ?
