The notice emphasizes the importance of addressing the defect promptly, as unexpected airbag deployment could lead to serious injuries.

Cars owners urged to visit local dealerships for free update

To rectify the issue, Honda is offering a free reprogramming or replacement of the electronic control unit (ECU) at authorized dealerships. This proactive measure aims to ensure the safety of vehicle occupants and prevent potential injuries.

Owners of the affected Honda Odyssey vehicles are advised to visit their local dealerships to have the supplemental restraint system ECU reprogrammed or replaced at no cost.

Honda has committed to notifying owners through mail, with notification letters expected to be sent out by May 25.
