Heel Homeopathic Products Class Action SettlementA California federal judge has granted final approval to a $1 million class action lawsuit settlement involving claims that certain homeopathic products sold by Heel Inc. were deceptively marketed. Consumers who purchased the products and submitted a valid claim for the Heel class action settlement will receive cash awards ranging from $25 to $150 by the end of July 2014, according to the Settlement Administrator.

The Mason v. Heel settlement resolves allegations that certain Heel homeopathic products were sold with misleading statements, including that they were “natural,” “clinically proven,” and “doctor recommended.” The company has vigorously denied the allegations but agreed to the Heel class action settlement last August. A federal judge preliminarily approved the deal three months later, and granted final approval on March 13, 2014.

Class Members included all U.S. consumers who purchased one or more Heel homeopathic products included in this list of dozens of eligible products between Dec. 21, 2008 and Feb. 5, 2014. The products included but were not limited to:

  • Heel Traumeel
  • Heel Detox Kit
  • Heel Zeel
  • Heel Luffeel
  • Heel Allergy
  • Heel Sinus
  • Heel Cold
  • Heel Cocculus
  • Heel Arthritis

Class Members with proof of purchase could claim $25 per product purchased, up to a maximum refund of $150. Those without proof of purchase could claim up to $100.

The deadline to file a claim for the Heel class action settlement was June 11, 2014. Settlement awards will distributed in late July, according to an update to the Settlement Administrator website www.HeelClassActionSettlement.com.

they have changed the payout date yet again to oct. liesssssssssssssss

  2. claimant says:

This is just ridiculous how this settlement administrator has handled this claim. If it takes them this much extra time to complete the settlement and payout, then they need to find a different kind of business to be in. Over the years I have had a few claims and each one of those claims were paid out when expected within a reasonable amount of time, but not this one.

The latest update is that the checks will be mailed in late September and that the average check will be $40. I actually now believe that they are jerking the class members around so that the lawyers can keep more interest off the lawsuit. That would be the reason for the delay.

    1. bob says:

all these class actions are nothing but a bunch of vultures trying to figure out how to screw the people out of money and take the longest possible time to pay people even against court orders (lockett) they can. it is a country tradition to screw the people
