General Mills is recalling more than 735,000 Pillsbury-brand bread rolls due to the possible presence of glass fragments.
The recall covers two frozen dough products baked onsite and sold exclusively at Walmart in-store bakeries in Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Montana, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wyoming.
According to the recall enforcement notice, the affected products may contain “potential foreign material (glass).”
The recall includes 3,080 cases of Hard Roll Dough, packaged 180 rolls per case at 2.25 ounces each, amounting to 554,400 rolls. It also includes 1,260 cases of Kaiser Roll Dough, packaged 144 rolls per case at 2.5 ounces each, amounting to 181,440 rolls.
The Hard Roll Dough carries recall number H-1154-2026, marked “Better if Used by” Oct. 12, 2026 (Lot 11JUN6JL) or Oct. 13, 2026 (Lot 12JUN6JL). The Kaiser Roll Dough carries recall number H-1155-2026, marked “Better if Used by” Oct. 13, 2026 (Lot 12JUN6JL). Both were distributed by General Mills Sales of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Food and Drug Administration classified the recall as Class II, indicating a risk of temporary or medically reversible health effects, with a remote chance of more serious harm.
General Mills: Pillsbury recall ‘limited in scope’
General Mills has described the recall as a precautionary step, characterizing it as narrow in scope and well-contained, with all potentially affected products already removed from circulation.
The recalled dough products are intended mainly for commercial food-service use rather than individual retail customers.
