The popular weed killer developed by Monsanto allegedly is not as “safe” and “biodegradable” as its marketing prose would lead consumers to believe.

Many lawsuits against Monsanto have been filed across the country. Plaintiff Suzanne S. of Missouri recently filed suit, alleging her exposure to Roundup caused her to develop non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She says she was diagnosed in 2012 after years of spraying Roundup to control weeds on her family’s ranch.

Monsanto is accused of knowing of the active ingredient’s carcinogenic properties as early as the 1980s. In 1985, the Environmental Protection Agency classified active ingredient glyphosate as a Category C oncogene, which means it is a possible human carcinogen with limited evidence of carcinogenicity.

Even more disturbing is that Roundup formulations include ingredients that, once mixed with glyphosate, create a product “significantly more toxic than glyphosate alone,” says Suzanne’s complaint.

Free Roundup Lawsuit Evaluation for Those Suffering

Because consumers have been exposed to Roundup for decades while believing the product was safe, a free Roundup lawsuit evaluation may be available to persons suffering illnesses as a result of Roundup exposure.

For years, Roundup has been marketed as a safe, non-toxic, biodegradable wonder-pesticide that stayed where it was applied and did not move through the environment. Monsanto suggested that Roundup was safer than table salt but allegedly presented no evidence to back that statement.

Compelling studies show a link between Roundup and cell mutation and/or cancer development. A 1985 EPA study of glyphosate’s effects in mice showed a dose-related response in male mice and renal tubal adenomas, a rare tumor in the kidneys. The EPA determined that glyphosate was at the very least oncogenic, which means it causes tumors.

A 2003 study by Lennart Hardell and Mikael Eriksson concluded that among all herbicides examined, glyphosate had the strongest link to non-Hodkin’s lymphoma, with increased odds of 3:11.

Roundup became so popular among farmers that Monsanto developed “Roundup ready” seeds, genetically modified (GMO) seeds that could be soaked with Roundup and survive while the weeds around them died.

If you have used Roundup and have been diagnosed with non-Hodkin’s lymphoma, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma, soft tissue sarcoma, or any other cancer, you could be eligible for a free Roundup lawsuit evaluation.

Monsanto stands accused of failing to appropriately and adequately inform consumers of the serious and dangerous risks associated with exposure to glyphosate and to the glyphosate mixture that is Roundup.

A free Roundup lawsuit evaluation could be available to you if you have suffered severe health effects after using the herbicide.

If you or a loved one developed cancer after using Roundup as a farm worker or home gardener, you may have a legal claim. Legal migrant farm workers may also seek help. Learn more by filling out the form on this page for a FREE case evaluation.
