EarthLink Class Action Settlement Reached

By Sarah Pierce

A proposed settlement has finally been reached in the 5-year-old class action lawsuit against EarthLink. The lawsuit accuses the Internet service provider of unlawfully charging early termination fees (including moving fees) in an attempt to either collect improper penalties or to wrongfully deter customers from seeking alternative Internet service providers.

As part of the class action settlement, EarthLink will change its practices and policies regarding early termination fees (ETF) and moving fees. It will also pay eligible claimants a cash refund of one-half of their ETF or moving fees, up to $75.

If you are a current or former subscriber of EarthLink, and you paid EarthLink an ETF or moving fee, you may be eligible to receive benefits from the proposed class action settlement. Visit https://earthlinkearlyterminationfee.com for more information.

This company is the most incompetent service I have ever encountered. They lie, steal $ and have the customer service skills of a rotten stick. I am in process with an atty to start a class action lawsuit about monies lost from service, fraudulent charges and violation of two federal laws. The people leading this thieving organization are absolutely despicable. They hide behind their untrained reps who are trained ONLY in lies & steal money.
