Trump campaign text message spamMore than 120 Bernie Sanders supporters have filed a class action lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and its chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schultz for fraud, claiming they were led to believe Wasserman Schultz and the DNC were impartial to the party’s presidential nominees.

The DNC is the formal governing body for the United States Democratic Party and is responsible for coordinating strategy in support of Democratic Party candidates for local, state, and national office.

As part of its duties, the DNC organizes the Democratic National Convention every four years to nominate and confirm a candidate for President, and establishes rules for the state caucuses and primaries that choose delegates to the convention.

According to the 121 named plaintiffs and Sanders donors, the DNC was not neutral nor impartial with respect to the Democratic primary process and was biased in favor of one candidate – Hillary Clinton – from the beginning and throughout the process.

“The DNC devoted its considerable resources to supporting Clinton above any of the other Democratic candidates. Through its public claims to being neutral and impartial, the DNC actively concealed its bias from its own donors as well as donors to the campaigns of Clinton’s rivals, including Bernie Sanders,” the 35-page complaint states.

The proposed class action lawsuit came after several DNC documents leaked from hacker “Guccifer 2.0” seemed to support the existense of collusion between the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign, which dated back to May 26, 2015, a month after Sanders entered the race.

As per the lawsuit, the Guccifer 2.0 documents include internal memos in which the DNC reportedly broke legally binding neutrality agreements in the Democratic primaries by allegedly strategizing to make Hillary Clinton the Democratic nominee before a single vote was cast.

Beck & Lee Trial Lawyers, a civil litigation firm based in Miami, Florida and founders of JamPac, announced the filing of the class action lawsuit against the DNC, stating anyone who donated to the DNC after Bernie Sanders entered the race for the Democratic nomination, either directly or through third-party payment platforms, along with anybody who donated to Bernie Sanders’ campaign at any stage of the primaries and caucuses, is eligible to join the class action lawsuit.

“There are essentially six legal claims we are asserting in this lawsuit on behalf of the composed class members,” said attorney Jared Beck in a YouTube video announcing the class action lawsuit. “The first is a claim for fraud—against the DNC and Debbie Wasserman Schultz—based on the revelations from the recent Guccifer 2.0 documents purportedly taken from the DNC’s own computer network.”

Claims for negligent misrepresentation, deceptive conduct, and breach of fiduciary duty were also brought in the action, specifically alleging that the DNC and Wasserman Schultz made false claims that the DNC was neutral during the Democratic primaries, when they in fact, according to the plaintiffs, favored Clinton from the beginning and failed to hold a fair election process.

Lastly, the plaintiffs bring forth claims for negligence against the DNC for not protecting donor information—as cyber criminals were able to hack into the DNC database, potentially compromising their personally identifiable information.

The proposed class action lawsuit seeks retribution of any monetary donations the DNC and a jury trial has been requested.

The plaintiffs and proposed Class are represented by Jared H. Beck and Elizabeth Lee Beck of Beck & Lee Trial Lawyers; Cullin O’Brien of Cullen O’Brien Law, P.A.; and Antonino G. Hernandez of Antonino G. Hernandez P.A.

    please add me

  2. Saxman says:

This lawsuit is about whether a fraud was perpetrated by the DNC. Simply that. Did the DNC commit fraud?

This lawsuit was never about a misplaced belief in the integrity of the DNC. Integrity is a Moral estimation and is not within the purview of the judicial court.

As this hearing is solely to establish the validity of the charge of a fraud being committed, and as both the litigants and the defendants have given ample evidence that fraud has been committed, we ask that the lawsuit regarding fraud be allowed to proceed.

    Wasserman is a hag.

  5. Richard Young says:

I am very pleased with this. It was sort of sad to see Sanders end his career with a sell out. I wish the supporters the best of luck.

  6. LarryS says:

Based simply on the evidence that has surfaced lately (such as the whiteout on Bernie s name on ballots in San Diego, etc) the primaries were a sham. He may be an independent, but he swore an oath at the beginning of the run that he would remain Democratic. He has always caucused with the Democrats. And as to if he could win or not he polls way better than Hillary against the Republicans.Even some Republicans have stated they would vote for him. He is an honorable man that has told the truth and seeks to level the playing field for all Americans.

  7. Jc says:

    LUDACRIS

  8. EM says:

Wassermann Schultz needs to be sued and charged with fraud and put into Federal prison. And Hillary should be charged with collusion and put into Rikers Island where all the tough criminals are since she is always pretending to be so tough herself , LOL !

    1. JoBrz says:

      Right on EM!
how does one get into this class action suit? I donated to Bernie’s campaign and thought he had a good chance against that lying (w)itch!

  9. Jemille says:

The majority of voters in the U.S are registered as independent or No Party Preference.

    1. Ted Mooney says:

I registered as a Democrat specifically to vote for Sanders. Lots of us did.

    2. Ted Mooney says:

I consider myself independent but registered as a Democrat specifically to vote for Sanders. Lots of us did.

  10. Jimbo says:

Why would the DNC back an indi party guy from Vermont that could never win? It is not like more people identify with no party than just Democrat or Republican. Oh wait, yeah they do.

    1. Michael says:

      Except that he DID win

      1. Linda says:

You are right on this one! Bernie Sanders did win but because of corruption of the DNC they took the Nomination away from him. We all tried to help Bernie as much as we could with donations.
The DNC should pay back what we all gave Bernie!

        1. Joshua Nathan Woods says:

But Sanders is a Democrat and supports Democrats and endorsed Hillary. Why would you support him if he upholds a corrupt establishment?

    2. David melnikov says:

Imagine if we couldn’t hear Bernie’s platform. Corporate mafia would have total ownership of the DNC
