Woman alleges Roundup CLL in Monsanto lawsuitA man has filed a Roundup cancer lawsuit claiming that Monsanto did not do enough to warn consumers about the dangers of regular exposure to glyphosate, one of the main ingredients in Monsanto’s weedkiller.

According to the claims made in that Roundup cancer link lawsuit, the company knew about the dangers but continued to promote the product as effective and safe for killing weeds despite the fact that it could cause users to develop cancer.

Roundup is one of the most popular weedkillers on the market and has been for many years. People often purchase it for the purpose of maintaining their own lawns and gardens.

Recent studies, though, show that spraying Roundup could come with risks from inhaling or coming into contact with the glyphosate inside. Over years, this could lead to a cancer diagnosis, studies say.

In this Roundup cancer link lawsuit, plaintiff Jack S. says that the defendant is responsible for wrongful and negligent conduct in connection with the manufacture, design, development, marketing, testing, labeling, distribution, and sale of Roundup.

The Roundup cancer link lawsuit highlights that the active ingredient inside Roundup is glyphosate and alleges that glyphosate is defective, dangerous to human health, and unsuitable to be marketed as a weedkiller.

The Roundup cancer link lawsuit goes onto argue that plaintiff’s injuries were avoidable, but that he and thousands of other victims across the country have developed lymphoma as a result of Roundup use.

The plaintiff in the Roundup cancer link lawsuit is a resident of Florida who says he used Roundup and other products from Monsanto containing glyphosate from the 1980s through 2018. He was later diagnosed with large B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2014, he claims.

The Roundup cancer link lawsuit highlights that the glyphosate products manufactured by Monsanto were approved for use in over a hundred different crops and are registered in 130 different countries. In 2015, an arm of the World Health Organization issued the results of an investigation regarding several herbicides, including glyphosate.

The evaluation determined that the cancers most commonly associated with exposure to glyphosate are non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and B-cell lymphoma, multiple myeloma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. The Roundup cancer link lawsuit says that these findings confirm the plaintiff’s concern that glyphosate is toxic to humans.

He alleges that this non-selective herbicide should never have been marketed to consumers in the first place because the active ingredient of glyphosate will lead to the development of cancer.

He further argues that Monsanto is responsible for failing to warn consumers in the United States about the dangers of continuous exposure to the Roundup product. Roundup is a very popular herbicide used by people across the country, but as the Roundup cancer link lawsuit alleges, continuous exposure to the active ingredient could lead to health complications.

The Roundup Cancer Link Lawsuit is Case No. 4:18-CV-01641-JAR, filed in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri, Eastern Division.
