This Justice fake sale settlement resolves a class action lawsuit that accused Tween Brands Inc. and Ascena Retail Group Inc. of engaging in deceptive and misleading advertising at Justice stores throughout the U.S.

According to the fake sale class action lawsuit, items at Justice stores were marked as “40% off” even though this “sale” price was actually the regular retail price.

“Defendants’ purported ‘discounts’ as described above did not exist,” the Justice class action lawsuit alleged. “Defendants always sold their products at the ‘discounted’ price. As such, Defendants’ allegedly reduced price was, in fact, Defendants’ regular price.”

Tween Brands and Ascena deny any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the Justice fake sale price class action lawsuit to avoid the burden and expense of ongoing litigation.

Qualified Class Members of the Justice fake sale settlement were eligible to file a claim to receive a cash payment of up to 14 percent of their documented purchases or a voucher worth up to 20 percent of their documented purchases (if they provided proof of purchase), or up to $20 in cash or a $30 Justice voucher without proof of purchase.

After the Justice class action settlement was reached, an appeal was filed. The appeal was resolved on April 27, 2017, and the Justice class action settlement was granted final approval on July 6, 2017.

Well this is upsetting, I never received any initial voucher or check! I just received a check for $9.41. They also have my address incorrect on this check it missing the apartment # & most of the time when this happens it gets sent back. I am shocked I actually received this one today.
So because they made a mistake on my address I don’t get anything but $9.41! Has anyone else had this issue, not receiving the initial voucher or check??

After today, I will NEVER shop Justice again!! They are still up to their sneaky ways! I went to the store and used my $30 lawsuit voucher. Picked out several items, which should have cost me out of pocket around $25 after my $30 lawsuit voucher was applied. I actually paid $40 out of pocket. I went to my car and added it all up then went back in the store to question the charges and how it was applied. 3 pair of shorts I bought were on sale for $7, regular price $12.90. The clerk told me when you use the lawsuit voucher, you are charged regular price for items, really!!!! To me this is Justice getting the last laugh because they aren’t really paying out crap with all the restrictions they have on the voucher ie: 1 time use it all or lose it, can’t use online on top of what I was told. Sorry business practice and their stuff is way overpriced anyway!!

  6. Kimberlie Klare says:

I have contacted them by email and phone at least 10 times this year. They continue to tell me the same thing….they will email the voucher. I should be getting around $300 dollars. But I think they are stalling, also. There must be something that we can do. This is ridiculous!
