Former gardening and maintenance crew workers have filed a lawsuit against Kim Kardashian accusing the celebrity of a litany of California wage and hour violations.
The plaintiffs, Andrew Ramirez, Christopher Ramirez, Andrew Ramirez Jr, Aron Cabrea, Rene Ernesto Flores, Jesse Fernandez, and Robert Araiza, claim that Kardashian owes them for unpaid labor and overtime hours they spent working at her $60 million mansion. The lawsuit, filed Monday in California state court, claims the celebrity failed to pay them on time, withheld too much from their checks, forced them to skip breaks, and required minor crew members to work illegal overtime.
The lawsuit alleges that workers at the Kim Kardashian mansion were forced to work through their meal and rest breaks. The plaintiffs say that, in addition to not being paid for their overtime hours, Kardashian withheld 10 percent of their paychecks, purportedly for taxes, but the star actually pocketed the money.
In addition, a sixteen-year-old plaintiff claims that he was forced to work more than permitted under California wage and hour laws.
The plaintiffs say that they were fired when they brought up their concerns about unpaid overtime and tax withholdings.
A spokesperson told Page Six of the New York Post that Kim Kardashian is not responsible for the wage and hour violations alleged in the lawsuit.
“These workers were hired and paid through a third-party vendor hired by Kim to provide ongoing services,” the spokesperson told reporters. “Kim is not party to the agreement made between the vendor and their workers, therefore she is not responsible for how the vendor manages their business and the agreements they have made directly with their staff.”
The lawyer representing the plaintiffs also represents other workers who lodged a pair of class action lawsuits against Kim Kardashian’s former husband, Kanye West, over claims he failed to properly pay hundreds employed in his ‘Sunday Service’ and opera ventures, reports Page Six.
“Wage theft and other workplace violations are a widespread problem in Los Angeles,” the lawyer representing the plaintiffs told the DailyMail. “My firm is currently investigating other potential violations against these defendants, as well as other powerful families and businesses on behalf of everyday workers.”

One thought on Wage and Hour Lawsuit Claims Kim Kardashian Failed To Pay Gardeners, Other Ex-Employees on Time
I hope Kim sues this attorney personally for malicious prosecution for bringing this frivolous action against her. Suing her instead of the gardeners’ actual employer is obviously being done simply because she has money, trying to get an undeserved settlement.
