Ashley Furniture recalls Party Time Collection loveseats, sofas, recliners

Ashley Furniture recalled 250,000 pieces of furniture after the products were found to be prone to overheating. The recall was published on the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) website June 8.

Ashley sold the products at Ashley Homestores and other furniture stores nationwide and online at ashleyfurniture.com from November 2018 through March 2023 for between $900 and $1,800.

The furniture’s cup holder with LED lighting can overheat, posing a fire hazard, according to the recall notice. The company is aware of six reports of the cup holder with LED lighting overheating, resulting in fire and smoke damage and damaged furniture.

Ford recalls Lincoln MKC compact SUVs due to fire risk

Ford issued an urgent recall for more than 142,000 Lincoln MKC vehicles as they can spontaneously catch fire, even when not running. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website posted the recall May 26. It applies to 142,734 model year 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC compact SUVs.

The battery monitor sensor in the affected SUVs may short-circuit and overheat, causing a fire in the engine compartment while it is parked or driving, according to the recall notice.

Owners should park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete, even when the car is not running. Dealers will add an in-line fuse to the battery monitor sensor power circuit to fix the issue, free of charge, the notice states.

Textron recalls Arctic Cat 8,000 Snowmobiles because of fuel leak risk

On June 8, Textron Specialty Vehicles issued a recall on more than 12,000 Arctic Cat snowmobiles in the United States and Canada. The 8,000 series snowmobiles have a fuel rail dampener snap-on ring that can loosen and leak fuel.

The company sold the snowmobiles in various colors that have “ARCTIC CAT” and the model number printed on each side of the engine cowling. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled snowmobiles and contact Textron Specialized Vehicles to arrange for a free inspection and repair, the recall notice states.

Recall announced for Jeep Grand Cherokees due to defective rear coil springs

Chrysler recalled more than 331,000 of its model year 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and model year 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. The rear coil springs in the vehicles may have been incorrectly installed and can detach from the vehicle while driving.

Not much that comes out of Ashley’s is sturdy and good-quality furniture. A sofa that they switched on me is so worthless that portions that I sit on immediately causes my back to go out. And I’ve not had it for a year, plus I only weigh a 140lbs.

Joke. What if you used the candle and threw it out??? You’re screwed thats what. These have become so ridiculous. Nothing anyone can sign up for, tons of lawyers involved who want your 2003 receipts. My last check was for $1.89. I need to delete this crap.
