Carhartt recalls Men’s Force Relaxed 5 Pocket Work Pants

On March 30, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website posted a recall that applies to about 32,5050 pairs of Carhartt Men’s Force Relaxed 5 Pocket Work Pants with an elastic drawstring hem near the ankle of the pants. The recall was initiated once Carhartt found the hem could create an extended loop, posing a trip and fall hazard.

The pants were sold exclusively at Dick’s Sporting Goods stores nationwide and online at dickssportinggoods.com from July 2022 through November 2022 for about $70. The pants come in various sizes and have product number 105222 printed on a tag on the inside seam near the waistband. They were sold in gray and brown colors and feature two front pockets, a phone pocket on the right leg and two back pockets, one with a zipper.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled work pants and return them to Dick’s SPorting Goods or Carhartt for a full refund.

Lettuce recalled under various brand names due to listeria

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS) released a public health alert for recalled ready-to-eat fresh salad products with chicken, ham and Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-regulated lettuce.

The recalled products include Fruit Ridge Farms White Chicken Caesar Salad, Fruit Ridge Farms Chef Salad with Ham, BELL’S BISTRO White Chicken Caesar Salad and BELL’S BISTRO Chef Salad with Ham. The recalled fresh salads with chicken, ham and lettuce were produced March 10-24, 2023 with sell-by dates of March 10-April 14, 2023, according to the recall. They were shipped to retail locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Meanwhile, Revolution Farms and Fresh Express Incorporated also recalled a number of lettuce mixes and salad kits due to a possible listeria monocytogene contamination.

The 15 different Revolution Farms lettuce products were packed between April 3-11 and sold to the following retailers and food service distributors in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin: SpartanNash, Meijer, Bridge St. Market, Kingma’s Market, Fresh Thyme Market Grand Rapids, Fresh Thyme Market Kalamazoo, Horrocks Market Grand Rapids, Doorganics, Cherry Capital Foods, Gordon Food Service, Van Eerden Foodservice, Vine Line Produce, Luna restaurant, Russ’ Commissary and Pearson Foods Corporation.

The Fresh Express recall was published to the FDA website on April 7 and applies to Fresh Express Caesar Chopped Kit, Fresh Express Chopped Kit Chipotle Cheddar and Publix Makoto Honey Ginger Salad Kit. The recalled salad items carry Product Code GO75 and use-by dates of March 31 or April 2, 2023, located on the front of the package.

Affected retailers of both products have been instructed to remove all recalled products from store shelves.
