A recall of Rompe Pecho CF, Rompe Pecho EX, Rompe Pecho MAX and Rompe Pecho DM has been expanded to include 12 additional lots that were distributed nationwide due to increased fears of microbial contamination, manufacturer Efficient Laboratories has announced.

They are:

The recall notice says that in rare circumstances, consuming the medication could result in vomiting and diarrhea. However, Efficient Laboratories says it has not received any reports of illness to date.

Consumers Should Stop Using the Products and Throw Them Away Immediately

The Rompe Pecho products are used to treat symptoms of the flu and common cold, and each are packaged in a box containing a bottle of the liquid product. The lot numbers and expiration dates can be found on the bottom of the cartons.

Efficient Laboratories is urging consumers that have Rompe Pecho EX, Rompe Pecho CF, Rompe Pecho DM or Rompe Pecho MAX from the affected lots to stop using the products and throw them away immediately.

The company says it has notified its distributors about the expanded recall, and distributors have confirmed there is no product in their inventory. A review of certain stores also confirmed none of the inventory was on the shelves.

Consumers who have experienced any problems related to the drugs should contact their doctor or healthcare provider, the company says, adding consumers with questions can contact Efficient Laboratories by phone at (305) 805-3456.
