Aplenty Rotini with Plant Based Bolognese meal kits are being recalled by producer Seviroli Foods Inc. after undisclosed milk was found in the packages.
In a recall notice, the company says anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk runs the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product. Â
For far, Seviroli Foods says, no illnesses or incidents have been reported in relation to the undeclared allergen being inadvertently packaged in meal kits.
The Aplenty meal kits were sold through Amazon Fresh stores and Fresh online channels and distributed throughout the United States. All products related to the recall have been removed from Amazon store shelves, the recall notice says.
Aplenty Meal Kits Come in 24 Oz. Package With 3 Lot Codes
The meal kits come in a 24 oz. package with the item number 19759 and UPC 842379197598. Three lots codes are part of the recall: 1,148 with a sell-by date of May 28, 2022; 1,161 with a sell-by date of June 10, 2022; and 1,162 with a sell-by date of June 11, 2022. The code is located on the back of the back of the packaging at the bottom in the center.
Just last week, Flowers Foods, Inc. had to recall 3,000 loaves of Nature’s Own Honey Wheat bread due to undeclared milk in the bread.
The mix-up occurred when loaves of Butterbread were mistakenly sent out in the Honey Wheat Bread packaging, the company said in a recall notice.
