802 VT Frozen is recalling 8,221 pounds of frozen meat pizza because the pizzas contained soy, a known allergen.

The frozen pizza soy was discovered during inspection by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The frozen pizza recall includes pizzas produced from April 25, 2023 through April 25, 2024 with a pizza in a 17.8-ounce cardboard box labeled “802 VT Frozen MEAT!!! CRISPY WOOD-FIRED CRUST HAND MADE PIZZA.”

The pizzas have an establishment number marked “EST. 46308” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The pizzas were distributed to retailers and fundraisers in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Frozen pizza recall: No reports of adverse effects from undeclared soy allergen

802 VT Frozen says it has not received any reports of illness or adverse effects related to the recall so far. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

The FSIS asks consumers not to consume the pizzas, which it is concerned could be in individuals’ freezers.
