An Illinois company is recalling all of its Chocolate Cookie Bunny Hutch Kits less than three weeks before Easter.

Wilton Industries, Inc. issued a voluntary recall March 25 of its Ready to Build Chocolate Cookie Bunny Hutch Kit due to a milk allergen missing from the โ€œContainsโ€ statement.ย

โ€œThe ingredient list on the package lists โ€˜Skim Milk Powderโ€™ as an ingredient; however, the โ€˜Containsโ€™ statement did not include โ€˜Milkโ€™ as required,โ€ the recall notice states.

The recall warns that people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of โ€œserious or life-threatening allergic reactionโ€ if they consume the product.

The Ready to Build Chocolate Cookie Bunny Hutch Kit is a product that parents and kids can make together and then eat.

Bunny Hutch Distributed Nationwide Ahead of Easter

The Ready to Build Chocolate Cookie Bunny Hutch Kit is a 2022 Easter seasonal item distributed nationally through retail stores and ecommerce platforms, including Walmart and www.wilton.com in the United States. The product was also sold in retail stores in Colombia.ย

Wilton said the labeling oversight came to its attention as a result of a consumer inquiry.

โ€œFollowing our own internal review, we confirmed โ€˜Skim Milk Powderโ€™ was included in the ingredient list, but was not listed in the โ€˜Containsโ€™ statement,โ€ the recall notice says.

To date, no illnesses have been reported due to an allergic reaction to milk in the chocolate cookie hutch, Wilton said.
