Ford, Jaguar, and General Motors (GM) have issued recalls in recent days. Find out if your car is one of the hundreds of thousands that may have been recalled due to a potential vehicle safety defect.
Ford Recalls 850K Vehicles
Ford has issued a trio of auto recalls affecting approximately 850,000 vehicles in the United States and Canada.
The largest recall concerns 2013 through 2017 Ford Explorers. The vehicles were recalled after reports of seized cross-axis ball joints that caused at least six injuries, reports Auto Services World. The vehicle safety defect can cause steering problems, increasing the risk of an accident.
Approximately 35,000 Ford F-350 Super Duty trucks were recalled due to problems with their rear wheel axle. A weld issue in 2020 through 2021 models could result in a rear driveline disconnection, causing loss of power or transmission park function. No accidents related to this auto recall have been reported to ford, according to Auto Services World.
Finally, more than 40,000 Lincoln Aviators have been recalled by Ford. Improperly secured battery wire harnesses resulted in short circuits and even spark fires in 2020 and 2021 models reports Auto Services World.
GM Tells 50K Chevy Bolt Owners to Park Outside
More than 50,000 Chevy Bolt owners, who were already subject to a November auto recall, have been warned by GM to park their 2017 through 2019 model year vehicles outside and away from buildings. The National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) said in a July 14 announcement that the vehicles’ cell packs have the potential to smoke and ignite internally.
Indeed, GM already faces a proposed class action lawsuit alleging a vehicle defect can cause the battery in the Chevrolet Bolt to suddenly burst into flames and cause serious injuries.
Nine 2018 Jaguar F-Type Recalled
Finally, a total of nine 2018 Jaguar F-Type vehicles have been recalled, according to an NHTSA announcement. The vehicles were manufactured on Jan 24, 2018 in the UK and one made it to the United States, reports Autoevolution.
An additional mesh layer was installed in the instrument panel of the Jaguars. The additional mesh could result in damage to the airbag in the event of a crash; however, when the automaker investigated, it identified nine total cars potentially affected by the problem, according to Autoevolution.
The one US owner of the 2018 Jaguar should hear about the auto recall by late August. Technicians will reportedly replace the instrument panel facia free of charge.
Top Class Actions will continue to monitor this and other auto recalls to help keep consumers informed.
Consumers can check to see if their vehicles are a part of the GM SUV recall or another safety defect recall by visiting the NHTSA website and entering their 17-digit vehicle identification number.

My 2014 Ford F150 has a power steering system defect that ford won’t honor because of the mileage on the vehicle.
Please add me i own a 2016 ford explorer. Thank you
I have a bolt and got it because of how many miles it holds with the recall I loose like 60 miles, and actual miles is more…… not wanting to get recall so I’m trying to shop around and trade in my car I just bought it so it puts me in the red if I trade it In
