Herbalife agreed to a $12.5 million class action settlement to resolve claims that it misrepresented the value of attending its U.S. events.
The settlement benefits Herbalife distributors who purchased tickets to two or more U.S.-based Herbalife events between Jan. 1, 2009, and April 6, 2023.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim Herbalife misled distributors about the value of attending its events. Distributors wouldn’t have paid for these events if they knew the value, the Herbalife class action lawsuit contends.
Herbalife is a nutrition, supplement and personal care multilevel marketing company.Â
Herbalife hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $12.5 million settlement to resolve the class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the Herbalife settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the number of events they purchased.Â
Class members can receive up to 150% of the total amount they spent on Herbalife event tickets, depending on the total number of claims filed. No exact payment estimates are available.
No documentation is required to file a claim, but claimants must provide information about the events they attended and how much they paid.Â
The deadline for exclusion and deadline is Aug. 4, 2023.
The final approval hearing for the Herbalife settlement is scheduled for Oct. 16, 2023.
In order to receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by Aug. 4, 2023.

No documentation is required in order to file a claim; however, claimants must provide the event name, date, location and ticket cost. The settlement administrator reserves the right to request documentation.Â
