Mercedes-Benz recalls more than 8,100 C300, AMG C43 vehicles over transmission wiring harness concerns
Mercedes-Benz announced a recall for more than 8,100 of its C300 and AMG C43 vehicles over concerns they may contain a defect that could cause them to experience a sudden loss of power.
The recall, which the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) posted July 6, applies to certain model year 2022-2023 C300 and 2023 AMG C43 vehicles.
Mercedes-Benz initiated the recall after discovering the vehicles may have been equipped with a transmission wiring harness that may be the incorrect length, causing the defect and potentially increasing the risk of an accident.
Yamaha recalls around 13,000 golf cars, personal transportation vehicles over accelerator defect
Yamaha initiated a recall for around 13,000 of its golf cars and personal transportation vehicles over concerns a spring in their accelerators could dislodge and cause them to fail to return to their original resting position.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published the recall July 6. It applies to model year 2023 Yamaha Golf Cars, personal transportation vehicles and Umax.
Vehicle owners should immediately stop using the recalled Yamaha vehicles and contact the company to receive a free inspection and repair. Yamaha says it is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Nissan recalled more than 66,000 of its model year 2018-2023 LEAF vehicles over concerns they can accelerate unexpectedly if the driver changes the driving mode after disengaging cruise control.
The NHTSA published the recall July 17. Nissan says it is not aware of any warranty claims or injuries connected to the recall.
Nissan says it plans to remedy the issue by reprogramming the recalled LEAF vehicles’ control modules free of charge and expects to mail notification letters to impacted LEAF vehicle owners Aug. 30.
Honda recalls more than 124,000 Civic, Passport, Pilot vehicles over brake concerns
Honda initiated a recall for more than 124,000 of its Honda Civic, Passport and Pilot vehicles over concerns they could potentially suffer from a loss of brake function, potentially increasing the risk of an accident.
The NHTSA published the recall June 29. It applies to certain model year 2020-2021 Honda Civic, 2020-2023 Ridgeline, 2021-2023 Passport, 2021-2022 Pilot and 2020 Acura MDX vehicles.

Honda recalls nearly 400 vehicles over concerns they were built with defective brake holds
Honda recalled almost 400 of its model year 2023 Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Acura RDX and Acura Integra vehicles over concerns they were equipped with a defective brake hold that could fail to prevent the vehicles from moving while in brake.
The NHTSA published the recall June 15. Honda says the defect is caused by a ball valve that was damaged during production after a foreign object got stuck in a caulking tool that was used to seal the valve.
Honda says it has not received any reports of injury in connection with the recall. Vehicle owners should take their vehicles to a Honda dealer for repair, according to the automaker.
