A settlement has been proposed in a class action lawsuit alleging certain Universal Nutrition supplements were improperly labeled with a “Made Proudly in the USA” label.
If you purchased certain Universal supplements with a label indicating they were American-made, you may be entitled to payment from this class action settlement.
The supplement labeling class action lawsuit asserts that defendant Universal Protein Supplements Corporation (which does business as Universal Nutrition, Universal USA and/or Animal Pak) has violated California state law by labeling its supplements with the “Made in USA” label.
Plaintiff Marcus Giffin alleges he relied on false and misleading statements on the labels and advertisements for Universal’s Animal Pak supplement, and believed that the product was made in the United States. However, these advertising statements were allegedly false and/or misleading.
The supplement labeling class action lawsuit accuses Universal of violating California state consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, False “Made in USA” Advertising Law, and Unfair Competition Laws. He does not claim that the products have caused injury or harm.
Universal denies the allegations but has agreed to settle the supplement labeling class action lawsuit to avoid the burden and expense of litigation.
Class Members who wish to object to or opt out of the Universal supplement settlement must do so no later than June 19, 2017.

This is horrible. None of the options – teller, ATM or mobile app from Citi, Bank of America, Chase accepted the check. One said that it was cashed. Another said that cannot read it. The third said – it could not accept it. We have to complain to the court, as this administrator is new and does not know how to cut the checks for the class action claimants. Everyone has to write a letter of complaint and request to replace the checks with legitimate ones. I have already done.
YOu have to go to Banc of California to cash the check!
This is complete nonsense. A proper check can be honored by any bank. The problem here is that the admin messed up.
I do not think you understand how banking with checks works in the real world…
Have they responded? I emailed and their response was that they haven’t had any issues and people have been crashing them non stop since they went out.
Cashing****
Told me the same thing. Call them directly. 949-690-2564
I cant cash mine either
My mobile banking app & the ATM won’t accept the check for deposit. I was going to try to deposit it inside the bank but based on the comments here, that probably won’t work either.
I do not think my bank will cash this postcard check. And if they will not cash what is the next option.
I couldn’t cash the check. Checks looks like a faded screenshot to be honest. App didn’t work and teller wouldn’t take it.
My bank would not take it. Said something is wrong with it. Never had that happen before with any type of check, postcard or not. They said the size wasn’t the problem but the teller assist couldn’t pinpoint it but said there was an issue and it wasn’t the size or anything like that.
Has anyone been able to deposit check? Having issues at my bank
Yes. Check looks weird (like a copy) and mobile deposit isn’t working.
We’re you able to deposit after all?
