A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging Red Robin International Inc. failed to redeem gift cards for cash when requested by a customer if the remaining balance on the gift card was less than $10. If you have possessed or currently possess a Red Robin gift card with a balance of less than $10 that was purchased between Nov. 6, 2010 and June 5, 2015, you may be entitled to benefits from the class action settlement.
Under the terms of the gift card class action settlement, Red Robin has agreed to review its policies and hold at least one training session for employees regarding gift card redemption obligations. Red Robin also agrees to verbally instruct new employees that California law requires that a gift card with a balance of less than $10 be redeemed for cash at a customer’s request.
Red Robin denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the gift card class action lawsuit to avoid the risk and expense of trial.

I realize this said only for CA residents but the same thing happened to me at the Silverdale, WA Red Robin.
don’t bother on this one; I submitted my claim very early (or so I thought) only to be told that the maximum number of claims had already been reached. TCA should probably just pull this page down.
