Korean Air Lines Co., Ltd. and Asiana Airlines Inc. have reached a $65 million class action lawsuit settlement resolving allegations they conspired to fix prices for air passenger travel between the U.S. and the Republic of Korea. If you bought a qualifying ticket between January 1, 2000 and August 1, 2007, you may be entitled to cash and coupons for future air passenger travel as part of the class action settlement.
The Korean Air settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit that claims the alleged conspiracy included meetings, conversations and communications in the U.S. and elsewhere between the two Defendants during which they agreed to establish artificially high prices for air passenger travel.
In cases separate from this class action lawsuit, brought by the United States Department of Justice, the Defendants pled guilty to criminal antitrust violations and agreed to pay a fine. Despite pleading guilty in the DOJ cases, Korean Air Lines and Asiana Airlines deny the allegations raised in the class action lawsuit but have agreed to a settlement to resolve the litigation.

People sure bitch a lot. they will probably give out $25 coupon for a ticket on Korean airline. Who cares….this is all a crap shoot….you win some and lose some….
UPDATE: The appeals from the Court’s orders granting the judgment of final approval and attorneys’ fees and costs have been resolved. The Claims Administrator is currently performing claim validation and audits on claims that were filed. If anything further is needed from you to validate your claim, you will be contacted. This claim validation and audit process is expected to be completed this year and soon thereafter, eligible class members will be mailed their distribution checks and coupons. The coupons will not be available for use until first quarter of 2015.
Jeremy,
Just because you fly on Korean Air doesn’t mean you have to travel to and from Korea. Korea Air flies to other countries so you don’t know what you’re talking about.
HOW IS IT,THAT THE CLAIMS ADMIN. IS ONLY MONITORINGTHIS ONE PERSON? I BELIEVE THE LAYWERS WILL BE IN COURT FOR CRIMINALS CHARGES BEFORE THE CONCUMERS WILL.WHO IS RECIEVING THE MOST MONEY THAT DON’T BELONG TO THEM,WHO IS NOT ABIDING BY THE COURT ORDERS,YOU DO THE MATH
Karma, stop cutting and pasting all over the boards. I live in NY. My house taxes are $12000 for an average house. What crimes? Putting in 2 claims as opposed to Congress getting paid and not doing anything for 6 years. Or railroad workers in NY going out on disability at a rate of 98%. These guys are now being convicted and have to pay $25 a month back . They need to live to 390 to pay back their theft. Cops working 200% their last year and collecting $15000 a month for life. The guy getting 2 checks for a class action what a criminal mastermind. Don’t forget he has to pay for all of the above crimes.
Spoke w Ann from Rust just now, very helpful lady. Several appeals have been filed no checks or vouchers have been released unti all appeals are resolved. Hope this helps those of you waiting with legit claims as myself. Sorry it’s not better news.

Stop lien ain’t no checks been sent
I just spoke to a representative. They saw my claim in the system, but they said the case is under appeal, so no checks would be sent out until the appeal is solved
Funny. I came back to check to see if anyone else had talked to the administrator and I see this. I don’t know why you have me confused with other people since I don’t see any identifying marks in our comments that link us throughout the page. Instead of being a troll, go figure out how you can fulfill your life so that you too can afford the opportunities to travel overseas by way of your employer or your own salary.
