A settlement has been reached in the Kansas Cipro class action lawsuit, and you may be eligible for compensation from Bayer if you paid for a Cipro prescription in the state of Kansas.
The plaintiffs of this Cipro class action lawsuit allege that the makers and other entities involved in the product and sales of the popular antibiotic medication known as Cipro (or its generic version ciprofloxacin) violated Kansas state’s antitrust and consumer protection laws.
According to the Kansas Cipro class action lawsuit, the defendants, which includes Bayer AG and other companies, agreed not compete with one another and then colluded to keep cheaper versions of generic Cipro off the Kansas pharmaceutical market.
This recently proposed Kansas Cipro class action settlement only includes Bayer, as other named defendants have decided to continue with litigation and will not be settling the case at present.
Bayer denies all wrongdoing and liability in this Cipro class action lawsuit, but has decided to settle in order to avoid further court costs and the uncertainty of what continued litigation may mean for the pharmaceutical company.
According to the terms of the Bayer Cipro settlement, the pharmaceutical company has agreed to pay $4.5 million to establish a Kansas Cipro settlement fund, and will also cooperate with the plaintiffs and plaintiffs’ counsel in the continuing litigation against the remaining defendants.

I ended up with c-diff taking Cipro was one of the worst times I went through should be taking off the market! God bless any who is prescribed this medication I will never take it again!
It’s all the fluoroquinolones, not just Cipro and Levaquin. After all these years, the FDA is finally requiring label changes to reflect the danger of permanent and disabling side effects. No doctors believed me years ago when my neuropathy started. Yes, these meds are not good for anyone. Quite the opposite, they are harmful. I am interested a class action lawsuit.
It’s not good for anyone!
Where are the refunds???
The class action should be about the permanent tendon damage this drug causes! Say NO to CIPRO!!! Dangerous!!!!
I agree. I didnt know about the tendon damage, but I cannot take it because of the violent and painful gastrointestinal symptoms it gave me- I was terrified I was going to have to go to the ER, until I decided to try skipping a dose and the problems stopped within hours. I guess it does good for some, but not for us!
AND LEVAQUIN I GOT A BAD CHEMICAL BURN WITH THIS THE DIARHEAA DO NOT HAVE DR ADMINISTER THESE PRODUCTS TO YOU WILL BE IN PAIN AND MISERY SERIOUS
AGREED! That is the worst one ever!
