A class action lawsuit claimed the defendant, Schell & Kampeter Inc., doing business as Diamond Pet Foods, misleadingly represented and advertised the products as being grain free, when lab tests allegedly detected grain among the products’ ingredients.
Diamond Pet Foods products are sold at retailers throughout the United States, including Petco, Tractor Supply Co., Chewy.com, Amazon, and others.
The defendants have denied all allegations of wrongdoing, and the Court has not ruled in favor of either party. Both parties believe the settlement to be in the Class’ best interest.
Class Members who submit proof of purchase with their valid claim will receive $10 for each product, up to a maximum of $100 per household.
Those without proof of purchase may still make a claim; these claimants will receive a single $5 payment per household.
A final hearing is set for Aug. 20, 2021.Â
Anyone who wishes to request to be excluded from or to object to the settlement must do so by July 30, 2021.
The claim form deadline is Oct. 4, 2021.

I submitted all receipts and never got paid!
$100 for poisioning animals. I just found out about this lawsuit and I just had to put down my White shepherd. Someone needs to regulate the type of food that is being feed to our animals this is just plain greed. While I miss my girl.
Me too…fed this to my Dogo and Yorkie…Dogo had allergies to grain…and only lived 8 yrs with huge growths covering his body in the end! I am so angry right now! Now this is some BULLSHIT! And I have no idea why I wasn’t contacted??? I tracked my purchases through pet supermarket rewards card…it would have been easy to find the suckers who bought this EXPENSIVE dog food for 5 plus years! So ANGRY! RIP Motley…we miss you!
I cook for all my animals now…meal prep for the month. Cheaper and better…you might want to think about it…I’m feel better and dogs love it! (Chicken hearts…lovers…etc…brown rice…vegan…sweet potato…throw it all into a crockpot…bag it up…throw it in the freezer…done
