Bluestem Brands will pay $4.4 million to settle a class action lawsuit that accuses the company and its subsidiaries of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

Lead plaintiff Timothy Haight accused Bluestem Brands d/b/a Fingerhut, Gettington, and PayCheck Direct of using an automatic telephone dialing system to call cell phones in violation of the TCPA.

Fingerhut should be shut down, they are nothing but criminals. They sent me emails multiple times a week & the unsubscribe was phony. I had to go online & find contact info & then threaten them with a lawsuit, yeah, it IS illegal to send unsolicited commercial spam. After about a month they finally quit sending emails.

  10. Lisa Marie McEachran says:

What if I got lots of pre-recorded calls regarding a credit card debt. Many of which I stayed on the line to check on what it was about since I DONT / DIDNT have a credit card. When I got to the LIVE person and asked who they were calling for or about and that I didnt have a credit card they would hang up on me. So I feel I am involved, but cant prove it was Fingerhut etc.
