TCA Staff Tidbit: This lawsuit was a long time coming. It’s funny, when we renewed a few years ago after our membership was expired, we wondering why we lost out on that time and didn’t think it was right. But, as these things go, we didn’t bother raising a stink about it. Why bother, right? We love Costco and shop there all the time. At the time, we didn’t think it mattered. Why sweat $5 or $15 right? Well, now we see we’re not the only ones who ran into the same question and we’re happy to see that attorneys addressed this practice. We paid for those few months of membership, so why didn’t we get them?
Â
So, now if you were in the same boat you’re taken care of. If you’re currently a member of Costco and included in the class you’ll receive 1 – 3 months of free membership, depending on how many months you were charged for but didn’t get. If you’re NOT a member of Costco, WELCOME BACK! You’ll get 1 – 3 months of free membership via a card you’ll receive in the mail. I hope your address on file with Costco is correct! Unfortunately there’s no way to submit a correction. The last address on file with Costco will receive the free membership card. If you changed your address with the National Change of Address Registry (the form you fill out with the post office when you move) you’ll get it as well. That’s it! Enjoy your free months of membership!
