The settlement benefits anyone who purchased WD Red NAS drive marketed as using SMRSM technology between October 2018 and July 21, 2021.

According to the hard drive class action lawsuit, Western Digital used shingled magnetic recording (SMR) technology in its hard drives without informing customers. This technology is allegedly inferior to the promised hard drive technology.

Western Digital agreed to pay $2.7 million to resolve these allegations. Under the terms of the settlement, Class Members could receive between $4 and $7 for each drive purchased.

In order to receive a payment from the settlement, Western Digital hard drive purchasers had to file a valid claim form by Nov. 27, 2021.

The Western Digital class action lawsuit is Malone, et al. v. Western Digital Corp., Case No. 5:20-cv-03584-NC, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

The settlement benefits participants of Walgreens’ Retirement Savings Plan, formerly called the Walgreens Profit-Sharing Retirement Plan, whose retirement funds were invested in various Northern Trust Focus Funds since Jan. 1, 2014.

Plaintiffs in the ERISA class action lawsuit claimed that Walgreens invested retirement funds into Northern Trust Focus Funds despite these funds having a long history of poor performance. These investment decisions allegedly caused the Walgreens retirement plan to lose nearly $300 million since 2014.

Walgreens didn’t admit any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $13.75 million to resolve these allegations. Under the terms of the settlement, Class Members could receive a payment based on the amount they invested in the included Northern Trust Focus Funds.

No claim form was required to benefit from the settlement.

The Walgreens ERISA class action lawsuit is Brown-Davis, et al. v. Walgreen Co., et al., Case No. 1:19-cv-05392, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division.

According to plaintiffs in the case Deloitte Consulting, a website creator that worked with the PUA program, mismanaged cyber security — resulting in a large data breach. The breach allegedly compromised personal information of around 237,000 people.

Deloitte didn’t admit any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $4.95 to resolve the class action lawsuit claims. The settlement provides payments of up to $280 per class member, depending on the expenses and time lost resulted from the data breach.

In order to receive a settlement payment, class members had to submit a valid claim form by Jan. 17, 2022.

According to the antitrust class action lawsuit, Celgene withheld generic versions of life-saving cancer drugs in order to sell their brand-name drugs for a higher profit. This price fixing allegedly forced cancer patients and their families to pay a higher price for treatment.

Celgene agreed to pay $55 million to resolve these allegations but did not admit to violating any antitrust laws. The settlement provided payments to purchasers of Thalomid or Revlimid that varied depending on the amount paid for the drugs.

Under the terms of the deal, class members could collect reimbursement for two belVita products without proof of purchase or an unlimited number of products with proof of purchase.
