The deadline to file a claim was June 22, 2021.

Shutterfly Illinois Biometric Privacy $6.75M Class Action Settlement Paying Out

Claimants in the Shutterfly biometric privacy settlement have begun receiving their payments!

A class action lawsuit had accused Shutterfly of violating the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) by obtaining, collecting, and storing Class Members’ biometric data using facial recognition software without prior notice or consent.

The claim form deadline was Sept. 14, 2021.

The Shutterfly BIPA Class Action Lawsuit was Vernita Miracle-Pond, et al. v. Shutterfly Inc., Case No. 2019-CH-07050, in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.

Checkers Data Breach Class Action Settlement Paying Out

Plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit against Checkers and Rally’s alleged the restaurants mishandled a data breach that affected 100 U.S. locations between 2015 and 2019. The breach allegedly went undetected during that period and compromised consumer payment information, such as card numbers, verification codes, and more.

Claim forms were due Oct. 28, 2020.

The Checkers Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit was In re: Checkers Data Security Breach Litigation, Case No. 8:19-cv-01386-VMC-CPT, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

American Web Loan Class Action Settlement Payments on the Way

Class Members in the American Web Loan settlement are seeing the cash come in.

One TCA viewer reported they received a digital payment of $119.46.

Plaintiffs in the American Web Loan class action lawsuit claimed the online lender violated federal law by issuing loans without having the authority to do so and allegedly used its status under the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Oklahoma to issue loans with high interest rates that would otherwise have been prohibited under state law.

The deadline to file a claim was July 9, 2021.

The American Web Loan Class Action Lawsuit was Royce Solomon, et al. v. American Web Loan Inc., et al., Case No. 4:17-cv-00145-HCM-RJK, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

A Place For Mom TCPA Class Action Settlement PayPal Payments Issued

Payments of $76.53 are being issued to Class Members in the A Place For Mom telemarketing class action settlement.

Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claimed the company violated the telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by calling consumers without obtaining consent.

The claim deadline was Sept. 15, 2020.

The A Place For Mom Class Action Lawsuit was Pine, et al. v. A Place for Mom Inc., Case No. 2:17-cv-01826-TSZ, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.

      I did too Jane twice and both came back to my account. It actually cost me for the small piece of glass that I found in my daughters mouth when she ate the velvetta mac and cheese that I cooked.
