National Grid TCPA class action rebates
Settlement checks are in the mail from a $38.5 million settlement with National Grid resolving claims that the company contacted customers with pre-recorded calls.
The settlement benefits consumers who received a pre-recorded call or a call with an artificial voice from National Grid and its operating entities between March 9, 2011, and Oct. 29, 2021.
Consumers of National Grid claim the utility company contacted them with unsolicited robocalls about bills, disconnect notices and other issues. According to the class action lawsuit, National Grid failed to get their consent before placing these robocalls. As a result, the utility company allegedly violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
National Grid agreed to pay $38.5 million to resolve these claims. Under the terms of the settlement, class members could collect an equal share of the net settlement fund. Our readers report receiving checks worth $50.90.
In order to receive a settlement payment, class members had to submit a valid claim form by May 12, 2022.

DevaCurl false advertising class action settlement payout Â
Top Class Actions readers report receiving checks from a $5.2 million class action settlement with DevaCurl resolving allegations the curl-care products can cause hair loss.
The settlement benefits individuals who purchased various DevaCurl products between Feb. 8, 2008, and Aug. 29, 2021.
According to the DevaCurl class action lawsuit, the brand’s hair care products caused scalp irritation and hair loss. Plaintiffs in the case say they were not warned this could happen as a result of using DevaCurl products. Consumers allegedly wouldn’t have purchased the products if they knew the truth.
DevaCurl agreed to pay $5.2 million to resolve these claims. Class members could receive a one-time class action settlement payout of up to $20, higher payments of up to $18,000 for injuries, or up to $1,000 for provable expenses. Our readers have reported payments ranging from $15.91 to $384.15.
In order to receive settlement payments, class members had to submit a valid claim form by Nov. 21, 2021.Â

Nutribullet overheating class action settlement payments
Checks are in the mail from a $10 million Nutribullet settlement resolving allegations the smoothie blenders can overheat.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased 600- or 900-watt Nutribullet blenders between June 1, 2017, and March 15, 2022.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim Nutribullet blenders are defective and prone to overheating. Nutribullet was allegedly aware of the issue but refused to warn customers they should limit operation to under one minute and not blend hot or warm ingredients in order to prevent overheating of the blenders. Consumers say they wouldn’t have paid as much for the blenders if they were aware of the limitations.
Nutribullet LLC agreed to pay $10 million to resolve these allegations. Under the terms of the settlement, class members could receive a cash payment of up to $7 or a discount code for up to $15 off the purchase of a new blender.
In order to receive settlement benefits, class members had to submit a valid claim form by June 13, 2022.
The Nutribullet overheating class action lawsuit is Meister v. Nutribullet LLC, Case No. 22-LA-0024 in the Circuit Court of the 20th Judicial Circuit, Court of St. Clair, State of Illinois.
Kitec Plumbing settlement checks
Consumers may start receiving checks from a $125 million IPEX class action settlement resolving claims that Kitec plumbing systems are defective and can cause leaks.
The settlement benefits U.S. and Canadian consumers who owned or leased a home or building that contained a Kitec plumbing system.Â
According to the Kitec class action lawsuit, the plumbing systems are defective and can fail prematurely. When the systems fail, homes can allegedly be damaged through leaks. Consumers aimed to hold IPEX accountable for these damages.
IPEX agreed to pay $125 million to resolve these allegations. Under the terms of the settlement, class members could receive reimbursement for damage and the cost of repairs resulting from Kitec systems. One reader received over $1,000 from the settlement.
The deadline to receive benefits from this settlement was Jan. 20, 2020.

Huda Beauty Neon Obsession class action rebates
Top Class Actions readers are receiving checks from a Huda Beauty class action settlement resolving claims that Neon Obsessions palettes can’t be used as intended.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased any color of Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Pressed Pigment Palettes in the United States before Aug. 15, 2021.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim that, despite being marketed as eyeshadow palettes, Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions palettes cannot be used around the eye area. On the back of the palettes, consumers are allegedly advised not to use the product around the eyes. Some plaintiffs claim they did not read this fine print and suffered eye irritation after using the palettes around their eyes.
Huda Beauty agreed to a class action settlement to resolve these allegations. The settlement provided refunds of up to $29 per product for up to three products, for a maximum payment of $87. Readers say they received checks and payments of $30 from this settlement.
In order to receive settlement payments, class members had to submit a valid claim form by Jan. 12, 2022.
The Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions class action lawsuit is Ramirez, et al. v. HB USA Holdings Inc., Case No. 5:20-CV-01016 JG-SHKX, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Illinois CRT settlement checks
Checks are in the mail from a $36 million class action settlement resolving claims cathode ray tube (CRT) televisions were the subject of an antitrust scheme.
The settlement benefits Illinois customers who purchased a CRT television or monitor between March 1, 1995, and Nov. 25, 2007.
Manufacturers of CRTs allegedly conspired together to raise and fix the price of these components. As a result of the scheme, end purchasers of televisions and monitors were allegedly overcharged for the products.
CRT manufacturers such as LG, Philips, Samsung and Hitachi agreed to $36 million in settlements to resolve these claims.Â
Under the terms of the settlement, class members were estimated to receive a class action settlement payout of around $20 per television and $60 per monitor purchased during the class period. Readers report payments of over $200 from the settlement.
In order to receive settlement benefits, class members had to submit a valid claim form by July 12, 2018.
The CRT price-fixing class action lawsuit is Illinois v. Hitachi Ltd., et al., Case No. 12CH35266, in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.
