Walmart Packaged Food Class Action Settlement Checks
Consumers are receiving settlement checks from a $9.5 million Walmart pricing class action lawsuit. One Top Class Actions reader received $20.37 even without providing proof of purchase. Other viewers report similar payment amounts.
The settlement benefited consumers who purchased certain weighted beef, pork, poultry, fish, and other packaged goods from Walmart between Feb. 7, 2015, and Aug. 26, 2020.
According to plaintiffs in the pricing class action lawsuit, Walmart overcharged customers on weighted goods marked on “sale.” Despite Walmart advertising soon-to-expire weighted goods as on sale, the final sale price of these items allegedly failed to match up with the posted sale price. In some cases, the plaintiffs contend, the actual item price was over a dollar above the expected sale price.
Walmart agreed to resolve these allegations with a $9.5 million class action lawsuit settlement. Under the terms of the deal, class members could recover a cash payment based on their proof of purchase and proof of being overcharged.
The deadline to submit a claim with the settlement was Jan. 8, 2021.

Coppertone Sunscreen Class Action Settlement Rebates
Payments from a Coppertone sunscreen class action lawsuit are in the mail! Our readers report receiving payments of $15.80.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased Coppertone Water Babies Pure & Simple, Coppertone Kids Tear Free and Coppertone Sport Face before Sept. 17, 2021.
Plaintiffs in the Coppertone class action lawsuit contend the brand’s sunscreens are misleadingly marketed as “mineral-based.” Mineral based sunscreens typically use ingredients such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to protect from the sun and may be less harsh on the skin. Despite the products’ marketing claims, Coppertone sunscreen allegedly uses chemical sunscreen ingredients in addition to mineral sunscreen ingredients.
Bayer HealthCare agreed to resolve these claims with a $2.25 million class action settlement. The settlement allowed consumers to collect up to $2.50 for each product purchased. The number of products each consumer could claim depended on the proof of purchase they provided in their claim.
The deadline to file a claim with the Coppertone settlement was Nov. 17, 2021.

California Toll Roads Class Action Settlement Checks
Our readers received payments from two toll road class action settlements totalling $40.95 million, with multiple viewers reporting payments of $30.50.
The settlement benefited a number of consumers whose personal identifying information was shared with a third party by 3M, Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency, San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency, BRiC-TPS LLC or other toll road defendants.
According to the consolidated toll road class action lawsuit, transportation agencies and other companies violated California Streets and Highways Code by collecting the personal information of drivers on toll roads. The companies allegedly shared this information with third parties in violation of the state’s laws.
The defendants agreed to two settlements totalling $40.95 million. Under the terms of the deals, consumers could collect cash payments. Payments were set to vary depending on the number of claims filed with the settlement.

ReJuvenation FTC Settlement Rebate Checks in the Mail
Consumers who purchased ReJuvenation “anti-aging” pills report receiving payments of over $68 from an FTC settlement. One TCA reader received a check worth $76.57!
Consumers were eligible for the settlement if they purchased ReJuvenation “anti-aging” pills from Quantum Wellness.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) took legal action against Quantum Wellness due to alleged deceptive marketing surrounding ReJuvenation pills. According to the agency, these supplements were marketed as a cure-all that could help reverse aging and age-related issues such as cell damage, heart attack complications and deafness. These claims were misleading and not backed by scientific evidence, the FTC contended.
The FTC reached a $660,000 settlement with Quantum Wellness in 2020. Using these funds, the agency distributed refunds to eligible consumers. Average refunds were around $113, but varied depending on a number of factors.
The deadline to file a claim and receive a refund was Aug. 31, 2021.

The settlement benefits consumers who purchased Bombas socks or other merchandise from the Bombas website between Nov. 11, 2016, and Feb. 16, 2017.
Bombas’ website allegedly suffered from a data breach that compromised the payment information of thousands of shoppers. Consumers took legal action against the company following the breach, claiming Bombas failed to protect their information. According to the plaintiffs, the breach could have been avoided with reasonable cybersecurity measures.
Bombas agreed to resolve these claims with a $225,000 settlement. The settlement provided payments of at least $50 to each customer, with higher payments available to class members who experienced unauthorized charges due to the breach. Reimbursements of up to $2,500 were also available.
In order to receive benefits, consumers had to file a claim form with the settlement by Nov. 9, 2021.

The settlement benefits current and former owners and lessees of Ford F-Series trucks from model years 2015 to 2019.
According to the Ford class action lawsuit, F-Series trucks are not “Built Ford Tough” as advertised. Instead, the doors and locks on these trucks are allegedly unable to withstand cold temperatures. As a result of cold weather, these Ford truck doors do not latch, lock or move as intended, the plaintiffs contend.
Ford agreed to resolve these claims with a $5.3 million settlement. Under the terms of the deal, class members could collect payments of up to $400 to reimburse repairs, out-of-pocket expenses, and general dissatisfaction.
