QC Kinetix class action overview:

  • Who: QC Kinetix, Regenerative Health of Champaign, Med-Den Funding and Security First Bank face a class action lawsuit.
  • Why: Consumers allege the companies work together to falsely promote medical treatments and engage in fraudulent financing conduct.
  • Where: The QC Kinetix lawsuit was filed in federal court in Illinois.

QC Kinetix, Regenerative Health of Champaign, Med-Den Funding and Security First Bank face a class action lawsuit claiming they work together to falsely promote medical treatments and engage in fraudulent conduct when financing medical agreements.

QC Kinetix pressures potential patients seeking information on treatments into upsales of services and financing through Med-Den Funding and Security First Bank, the lawsuit claims.

Lead Plaintiff Dawn Robertson alleges she explored QC Kinetix treatments and, at her first appointment, the company pressured her into signing up for $20,000 in services that began immediately and which Med-Den Funding and Security First Bank financed. Robertson described the interaction as a high-pressure sales presentation from employee Tawny Dychet.

“Ms. Dyche told plaintiff that in order to get the ‘absolute best results’ she should treat both hips and both shoulders, even though she was not having pain on both sides,” the QC Kinetix class action says.

“Plaintiff was skeptical but Ms. Dyche kept telling Plaintiff how QC Kinetix was doing great things. Ms. Dyche stated that the cost for one joint was $8,000 but that any others agreed to on that date would be half price ($4,000); however, if plaintiff signed up for one joint and sought further treatments later she would have to pay full price for the latter.”

Patients don’t know QC Kinetix treatments aren’t FDA-approved, lawsuit says

After her first two treatments, Robertson reported severe shoulder pain that kept her up at night, claiming she never experienced shoulder pain before the treatments. QC Kinetix encouraged her to continue the treatments, according to the lawsuit.

QC Kenetix did not tell Robertson the treatments were not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and did not give proper loan cancellation procedure notice as prescribed by the Federal Trade Commission, the lawsuit claims.

Colgate, Taco Bell, Pacific Coast Producers, Tesla, A&W, Keurig Dr Pepper, Curaleaf, DreamCloud and Inventure Foods all faced false advertising class action lawsuits last year.

  1. Rosie Rivera says:

I was having treatments with QC keinitex .after three treatments I experienced severe shoulder pain. My doctor sent a statement stating I should not continue treatment. We paid $5,500 we paid and said we had to borrow $5,000 more to complete treatments. They have refused to cancel the loan when there were two treatments left even when wr agreed to pay our part for the last one I had. First security bank is still requesting we pay them, when we’re not using that money and the company has it, not us.

After initially hearing advertisements for QC kinetics on Sirius XM 125, at the advice of my husband I went there see if it would be helpful. This was at their facility in Bowling Green Kentucky. Following a brief consult regarding pain locations they initiated their pressure presentation. Involved one stem cell treatment and a few plasma treatments initially thought that there may have been some progress but it may have had more to do with the ongoing Chiropractic Care that was also a regular treatment at that time and even now as other areas covered on it did not see any relief whatsoever. They kept saying give it more time it takes time. Strangely they never gave me copies of any of the forms that I had signed. Moreover as the treatment protocol progressed there was going to be an instance where we would have had to go to a location away from our locality by at least an hour and a half to two hours for any follow-up treatment after the initial round. There was no improvement whatsoever and if anything in many ways has gotten worse. According to other people we have met that had dealt with them in the local area they had absolutely no professional credential for doing the sort of treatments that they were undertaking. Pain level if anything has increased substantially but they tugged on mine and my husband’s heartstrings with Promises of life-changing relief which have never materialized and the only thing that appears to be materializing is a hefty bill. We trusted them and they let us down and expect us to hold the bag. Not cool at all, in fact my husband says they can get bent for all he cares.

  4. Linda Minter says:

My name is Linda Minter. I live in Carmel, Indiana. I am also the victim of fraud from QC Kinetix. I began my treatment in October 2023. I have since finished the treatments and have experienced NO relief. At each appointment I told the staff I was not getting better and they told me to hang in there ~ this process takes time. I am still paying the fees which total $11,000. I too, was talked into doing both knees to get the 1/2 price for the second joint. I would be interested in being apart of the class action lawsuit against QC Kinetix.

  5. Joseph says:

I was at the QC Kinetix Sandy Springs GA location on Friday, 3/1/2024 and after sitting through their high pressure sales pitch consultation, I agreed to start with the treatment program for my back, as it was insisted to start immediately. Their representative had me to sign numerous forms, and then the initial treatment was administered the same day. I was not given copies of any of the forms they had me to sign! Since the initial treatment I have experienced worse back pain than before I came in. I reached out by phone to their support number at 404-260-5151 and left a message on 3/2/2024, 3/4/2024, and 3/5/2024 and each time I was unable to reach a live person and I had to leave a message. On 3/5/2024 I called 3 times, twice to 404-260-5151 and then to their sales line at 770-285-8026. When I called 2 times and connected to their option for first time callers, and I immediately was connected to a live person! When I connected to the first person on their sales line, I explained my concerns with the gentleman and he transferred me back to the 404-260-5151 number, and once again I went into their voice mail service. The second time I called the sales line, I explained my concerns with the gentleman, and he assured me that he would personally run this up the ladder, but as of 6:30 pm on 3-5-2024, I had not heard anything back from anyone at QC Kinetix. Not only was I concerned that I did not receive copies of all the various forms I signed on Friday, but now my concerns are the lack of medical attention that I am receiving from QC Kinetix, therefore I emailed a request to cancel the scheduled treatment therapy with QC Kinetix on 3/5-2024. I also requested that QC Kinetix acknowledge receipt of this email and confirm that the treatment therapy has been cancelled along with all associated fees. The very next day, I received an email from Synchrony Allegro Credit (SAC), stating that I would need to prepare to make monthly payments for 6 treatment services with QC Kinetix, totaling $8,500.00. I promptly emailed SAC back, stating that I had cancelled the treatments with QC Kinetix (I have copies of the cancellations email notices to both QC Kinetix and SAC). Over the past few weeks, I had a conversation with Beckah (I was told she is the manager) and Heather. Beckah never followed up. After a second call to Heather, she did follow up on 3/13/2024 and informed me that the cancellation request had been submitted and was being processed and that it should be completed in about a week, but I still have not received a cancellation confirmation as of yet. I also contacted Synchrony Allegro Credit on 3-20-2024 and they told me to disregard the notice that I received from them, that their records also showed that a cancellation was in process as well. I have followed up again on numerous occasions with QC Kinetix only to get their voice mail. I was able to connect with SAC on 3-25-2024 and was told that their records showed that it was still in the processing stage, but they had not received approval from QC Kinetix that they were returning the $8,500.00 in order to cancel out the loan. The SAC representative suggested that I go in person to the QC Kinetix office to try and resolve the matter, so I did, and to my surprise the office was locked up! Their website states the office hours are Mon-Fri from 8 am to 6 pm (I was there from 1:59 pm until 3 pm and the office was never opened). SAC now informs me that if QC Kinetix does not return the $8,500.00, I am responsible to pay the $8,500.00, even though I am not receiving the treatments. This feels like a total scam.

  6. Cheryl Metzger says:

I started treatments in December and was told they could certainly help me. I took my X-rays showing that my knee was bone on bone. They did not know how to pull up my X-rays from the DVD but they were still confident that they could help me. I paid in full up front and now they have closed their office and I will have to travel about an hour and a half to the new office. We are simply not able to do that. Plus I have worse pain in my knee. This is not right. What can be done?

  7. Linda Manzo says:

I found QC Kinetix when I moved to South Carolina in August of 2021. They said they could help me with the Osteoarthritis in my knees. I had a consult and was told it would be $10,000 dollars for a series of 6 injections in each one of my knees. They wanted the money upfront but I told them I didn’t have that amount to pay for treatment. I was then told that they provided financing through Care Credit. I only got approved for $4,000. They took that as a downpayment and the rest of what I owed would be paid at each visit until it was paid in full. I never had any imaging when I had my treatments. It was a temporary fix and now I am worse off now tha before I had my treatment and was never told that it was just a temporary fix to my problem. I would like to be part of the Class Action suit against QC Kinetix which is located in Greenville, South Carolina.

  8. Ben says:

Months into treatments for my hip and I cannot properly express how much worse off I am than when I walked in. Hip gave out completely twice just this morning. Pain is daily and radiates to multiple other parts of my body. I have missed work spent thousands of dollars on hip pillows, assorted gadgets, deep tissue massage, and even a new mattress in an effort to find relief all to know avail.

  9. Dennis Dawson says:

My name is DENNIS DAWSON, I reside in Texas and I am also the victim of fraud from QC Kinetix,. I have been receiving injections for a year and absolutely no results, actually my condition as worsened. I am interested in being apart of the class action lawsuit against QC Kinetix.

  10. Sharon Larson says:

I went to QC Kinetix in Chandler AZ. They pressured me on first visit to sign up for PRP and bone marrow injections. I took MRI with me, they said I was perfect candidate for procedures. I’ve had several sessions with them I’m still in pain and limping. Each time I went in they assured me next set of shots would work. My hip, piriformis have only got worse. My Physical therapist said after reading my MRI the shots would not have worked. I’ve been in more pain over past 4 months and owe them alot of money for nothing. They new their procedures wouldn’t work. It’s all about the money

    1. Evelyn Spradley says:

I received treatment for my knees ai QC Kinetixs in Tallahassee Florida and my condition was also worsened. I had to have total knee replacement surgery because after the injections from QC Kinetix my pain was unbearable. I was charged $8500 and they did no give me any money back

      1. Terri Norwood says:

Thank you all for this. I had an appointment in Tallahassee on tomorrow. I’m about to cancel my appointment
