Once a judge has granted certification to a Class of consumers, notice of the class action lawsuit may be sent to potential Class Members. Advertisements are often posted in newspapers, magazines, and online to let consumers know about the litigation. When you find out about a class action lawsuit for which you’re qualified, simply follow the directions on the notice. Typically, you will either contact the Class Counsel or the Settlement Administrator in order to join a class action lawsuit. Contact information will be provided in the advertisement or notice. If money becomes available following a trial or settlement, you may need to file a Claim Form in order to be eligible for benefits.

What Happens If My Claim is Denied?

If your claim is denied, you will not receive compensation from the class action lawsuit. If you believe your claim should have been approved, you may contact the Settlement Administrator to ask why it was denied.
