Update from the President of TCA

We’re rapidly approaching 12,000 newsletter subscribers. By the end of January we should be well past 12,000 and closing in on 12,500! It’s simply amazing the amount of growth we’ve seen in 2010. At the beginning of the year we only had 6,000 subscribers. We’ve doubled the number of newsletter subscribers and also our monthly number of users (we’re up to 50,000 unique viewers each month on average.)

We’re looking forward to another banner year in 2011. In this economy, growing a business is hard, but thankfully helping consumers has proven to be a great business model! Thank you for helping to make this happen! You are the key to our success!

OK, on to some class action lawsuit news. Here’s a unique one… Exotic dancers, AKA the Stripper Lawsuit, allege that dancers weren’t paid minimum wage for at least six years! This is interesting as if this class action lawsuit is successful, it could mean hundreds of similar class action lawsuits will be filed nationwide. We see businesses try to claim full time employees as independent contractors all the time. Now strip clubs may have to pay. A LOT!

Google also got hit with a class action lawsuit for scanning incoming email. The lawsuit alleges that the senders of the email never agreed to let Google scan their confidential email. This one could be quite interesting as the affected class numbers millions of people. If you aren’t a Google Gmail subscriber, and sent someone on Gmail an email, you’re in it! That’s it for now.

Happy New Year! May your 2011 be safe, fun, exciting and profitable!

Warm Regards,

Scott Hardy

President
