Update from the President of TCA

Good morning everyone! I hope you had a GREAT week! It’s been a chilly one for us in Phoenix (I could actually see my breath two nights ago) and that means Arizonans are dressed like it’s Alaska. I get weird looks when I drop the girls off at school and I’m wearing shorts and a polo. The teachers and other parents are typically decked out in big jackets, gloves and occasionally knit hats. It’s 8:30 AM, sunny and 60 degrees! Why act like it’s cloudy and snowing? I know most of my friends are just happy for an excuse to WEAR their cold weather gear. I know Sydney’s happy for any excuse to ear her fuzzy boots or big black knee boots. I have to admit I actually put on a jacket yesterday afternoon. I was out in front of the house with the girls as they rode their bikes. I stand in the street to make sure any cars that come along slow down as I corral the girls out of the way. While doing that I actually got a LITTLE chilly. Not quite cold, but, uncomfortable enough to grab a jacket. Tough winter weather in Phoenix, right? Heh heh. As long as the girls are allowed to zip up and down the street on their bikes they’re happy (though they are bundled up in jackets and sweaters).

On the Top Class Actions side of things we’ve been busy testing some external advertising (which we typically don’t do) and I was reminded how easy it is to blow thousands of dollars on marketing. Marketing is a giant black hole for cash. We’re testing some ways to help increase the number of our overall viewers while trying to smartly spend money to help grow the business as a whole. It’s a tough challenge but I think we’re making progress. The days of just putting up a website, adding unique content, and waiting for the flood of traffic are over. Now you need to take care of your core audience, put out unique content, have a full SEO and PR strategy while also investing in advertising. It’s hard, but, fun! The site update I mentioned is being worked on now and we SHOULD have it launched in early January. More to come as the project gets completed. On to the latest lawsuit and settlement updates!
