Zoloft Birth Defect Lawsuit Filed on Anniversary of the Death of Daughter

A mother who took Zoloft and Paxil while pregnant filed a lawsuit on April 11th, 2012, one year to the day when her daughter died allegedly due to SSRI antidepressant drug related birth defects. Dottie Kyle alleges in her Zoloft birth defect lawsuit that Pfizer ignored multiple studies which showed Zoloft increased the risk of severe birth defects in fetuses exposed to the SSRI antidepressant drug.

Dottie’s Zoloft birth defect lawsuit is filed on behalf of her daughter, Crystal Crooks, who died on April 11th, 2011. Dottie’s SSRI birth defect lawsuit alleges that Zoloft and Paxil cause birth defects like Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension (PPHN), Atrial Septal Defects (ASD), ventricular septal defects (VSD), abdominal birth defects (omphalocele), cranial birth defects (craniosynotosis), aorta coarctation, hypoplastic right or left heart syndrome, transposition of the great arteries (TGA), tetralogy of fallot (TOF), spina bifida, Autism Spectrum Disorder and club feet. Dottie’s Zoloft lawsuit alleges that Paxil and Zoloft are behind her daughter’s severe cardiac birth defects which ultimately resulted in her death.

Dottie’s heart birth defect lawsuit names not only the maker of Zoloft, Pfizer, as a defendant in her lawsuit but GlaxoSmithKline (GSK,) the maker of Paxil.
