Rethink Chantix as Part of Your New Year’s Resolution to Quit Smoking
By Andrea Gressman
There is an anti-smoking medication known as Chantix on the market today that is supposed to make smoking cessation easier but as many Chantix have found out it certainly comes at a price involving potentially deadly side effects. As a result, a number of Chantix side effect victims and the victim’s families have opted to file Chantix lawsuits.
What is Chantix and Why Has it Been Linked to So Many Potentially Deadly Side Effects?
Chantix is a medication that assists people with smoking cessation. While many claim that it does work by significantly decreasing their urge to smoke a cigarette, it comes with many dangerous side effects. Chantix users have reported psychological side effects such as depression, aggression, homicidal tendencies, entertaining the thought of suicide, and even suicide attempts. While quitting smoking is great for your health, Chantix may prove detrimental.
Rethink Using Chantix to Fulfill Your New Year’s Resolution
Individuals who are thinking of quitting smoking as part of their New Year’s resolution may want to rethink the use of Chantix. Although it is beneficial to quit smoking, the side effect risks associated with the use of Chantix may not be worth it.
Currently, there are a number of Chantix lawsuits filed against the manufacturers of Chantix. In fact, Chantix wrongful death lawsuits have been filed by the families of loved ones who have committed suicide while using the smoking cessation medication. The individuals who have experienced these side effects reportedly did not have a history of any prior thoughts of self-harm of suicide. Additionally, individuals who suffered depression and aggression had not previous history of similar behaviors.
People who have previously used Chantix will likely warn anyone considering the use of this anti-smoking drug to stay away. According to them, there are better ways to quit smoking rather than the risk of life associated with the use of Chantix. If you or someone you know has suffered any of the risks involved with the use of Chantix, seek legal counsel from a Chantix lawsuit attorney for advice on whether you meet the qualification to file a Chantix lawsuit.
