FCA US LLC agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that it violated federal law with unsolicited calls regarding the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan.
The settlement benefits individuals who received an unsolicited call that used an artificial or prerecorded voice to their cellphone regarding FCA US’s Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan in or around July 2018.
According to the class action lawsuit, FC USA LLC placed unsolicited robocalls to consumers regarding its Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans. The class action lawsuit plaintiffs claim these calls violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
FCA US LLC is the U.S. branch of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, one of the largest auto manufacturers in the world.
FCA US hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum as part of a settlement to resolve the Pacifica TCPA class action lawsuit.
Under the settlement terms, class members can receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. Payments will vary depending on the number of valid claims filed, but each claimant could receive up to $60. This amount may be lower after attorneys’ fees and other expenses are deducted.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is April 12, 2024.
The final approval hearing for the Pacifica settlement is scheduled for May 2, 2024.
Class members must submit a valid claim form by May 17, 2024, to receive a settlement payment.
