Crossroads Trading agreed to a $600,000 class action settlement to resolve claims it failed to prevent a 2025 data breach that compromised employee and customer information.
The Crossroads Trading settlement benefits individuals residing in the United States whose private information may have been compromised or otherwise impacted in the Crossroads Trading data breach on Feb. 15, 2025, and/or who received notice of the data breach.
According to a class action lawsuit against Crossroads Trading, the data breach compromised Social Security numbers and other sensitive employment data. Plaintiffs in the case argue that Crossroads Trading failed to protect consumer information through reasonable cybersecurity measures, failed to detect the breach in a timely manner and failed to inform affected individuals in a timely manner.
Crossroads Trading, a clothing resale store, has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $600,000 class action settlement to resolve these allegations.
Under the terms of the Crossroads Trading settlement, class members can receive up to $5,000 for documented losses related to the data breach. This includes documented monetary losses, such as long-distance telephone charges, cell phone minutes, internet usage charges, credit report costs, credit monitoring expenses and identity theft damages. Class members who did not claim documented losses can instead receive alternative cash payments of $25.
California residents can receive statutory cash payments of $100. Statutory payments can be received in conjunction with a documented loss payment or an alternative cash payment.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is Sept. 14, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the Crossroads Trading data breach settlement is scheduled for Jan. 13, 2027.
To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Oct. 13, 2026.
