ApolloMD has agreed to a $4.02 million class action settlement to resolve claims it failed to prevent a 2025 data breach that compromised patient information.

The ApolloMD settlement benefits individuals who received a notice from ApolloMD informing them their information may have been compromised in a data breach in May 2025.

ApolloMD is a medical staffing company that provides emergency department, hospitalist, anesthesia, radiology and acute care services.

A class action lawsuit had alleged ApolloMD failed to prevent a 2025 data breach that compromised sensitive patient information. The class action lawsuit blamed a failure to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures for the ApolloMD data breach.

ApolloMD has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $4.02 million class action settlement to resolve the data breach class action lawsuit.

Under the terms of the ApolloMD settlement, class members can receive either documented loss reimbursement or an alternate cash payment.

Class members who experienced documented losses as a result of the ApolloMD data breach can receive up to $5,000 in reimbursement. This payment is available for documented losses, such as fraudulent charges, identity theft, credit monitoring and more. Class members must provide documentation, such as receipts, bank statements, emails and other third-party documentation.

Class members who did not experience documented losses or who did not have documentation to support their losses can receive an alternate cash payment of $75. These payments may be adjusted up or down on a pro rata basis depending on the number of claims filed with the settlement.

All class members are eligible for one year of free medical data monitoring. This service includes real-time credit monitoring, dark web scanning, $1 million in identity theft insurance and access to fraud resolution agents.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 31, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the ApolloMD settlement is scheduled for Oct. 5, 2026.

To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 30, 2026.
