ConnectOnCall and Phreesia agreed to a $4.95 million class action settlement to resolve claims that a 2024 data breach compromised sensitive consumer information.
The ConnectOnCall settlement benefits individuals whose information may have been impacted in the ConnectOnCall and Phreesia data breach that occurred between Feb. 16 and May 12, 2024.
The ConnectOnCall data breach settlement resolves claims that ConnectOnCall and Phreesia failed to protect consumers from a data breach that compromised sensitive information, including provider-patient communications.
ConnectOnCall is an after-hours on-call answering service used by healthcare providers, while Phreesia is a patient intake platform that works with healthcare providers.
ConnectOnCall and Phreesia have not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $4.95 million class action settlement to resolve the data breach class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the ConnectOnCall settlement, class members can receive two years of dark web and medical data monitoring through CyEx Medical Shield Complete. This monitoring is valued at $360 per class member.
Class members can also receive a cash payment from the settlement. Class members who experienced documented losses as a result of the ConnectOnCall data breach can receive up to $5,000 in compensation. These losses must be documented with non-self-prepared supporting documentation.
Class members who did not experience documented losses can receive a smaller cash payment of up to $75.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is Oct. 19, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Nov. 17, 2026.
To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Nov. 2, 2026.
