Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida has agreed to a $220,000 class action settlement to resolve claims it disclosed patient data to third parties through website tracking.

The Mount Sinai Medical Center settlement benefits individuals who accessed Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida’s website or patient portal between June 10, 2021, and Sept. 18, 2025.

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida is a hospital located in Miami Beach, Florida.

Plaintiffs in a data privacy class action lawsuit against Mount Sinai claimed it violated state privacy laws by disclosing patient data to third parties through website tracking. This tracking allegedly shared sensitive health information with Google and other companies.

Mount Sinai Medical Center has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to this $220,000 settlement to resolve the data privacy class action lawsuit.

Under the terms of the Mount Sinai Medical Center settlement, class members can receive a cash payment and one year of free medical data monitoring.

Class members who submit a valid claim form can receive a cash payment of $20. Payments may be increased or decreased on a pro rata basis depending on the number of claims filed. No payment estimates are available for claimants who do not file a claim form.

All class members are eligible for one year of free medical data monitoring. Class members who do not file a claim form will receive an activation code for this benefit with their settlement notice. Claimants who file a claim form will receive their activation code via email.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Sept. 14, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Oct. 13, 2026.

To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 28, 2026.
