Vesync agreed to a $15 million class action settlement to resolve claims that it falsely advertised Levoit air purifiers as having “True HEPA” filters.

The Levoit settlement benefits consumers who purchased a Levoit-branded Core or EverestAir air purifier and/or replacement filter with “True HEPA,” “HEPA” and/or “H13” language between Aug. 29, 2019, and Aug. 4, 2023.

Consumers filed a class action lawsuit against Vesync in 2023, challenging the company’s “True HEPA” claims. The class action lawsuit alleges that VeSync used the marketing term “True HEPA” to mislead consumers into paying a premium for air purifiers that failed to meet actual HEPA-level filtration standards.

Vesync is a smart home platform and the manufacturer of Levoit air purifier products, which are sold at retailers, such as Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot and more.

Vesync has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $15 million to resolve these allegations.

Under the terms of the Levoit settlement, class members can receive a $10 digital payment.

The class action settlement fund will be used to pay all claims, with no residual funds being returned to Vesync. If the total number of valid claims exceeds $15 million, the settlement awards will be reduced on a proportional basis.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Nov. 3, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the Levoit air purifier settlement is scheduled for Feb. 17, 2027.

To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Nov. 3, 2026.
