WeeSprout initiated a recall for around 31,630 of its baby sleep sacks over concerns the item’s zipper could detach and become a choking hazard.
The recalled WeeSprout baby sleep sacks are 100% cotton and sold in sizes newborn through 36 months in the colors blue dusk, dotted rose, gray stitch and rosemary stitch, according to a recall posted Feb 9.
WeeSprout advised consumers to immediately stop using the baby sleep sacks, cut them in half and discard them in the trash before emailing the company with a photo to get a full refund of $17 either in the form of cash or a gift card, the sleep sack recall states.
WeeSprout sold the baby sleep sacks online nationwide on both Amazon.com and WeeSprout.com for around $17 from between August 2022 and December 2022.
