Top Class Actions readers are starting to receive checks in the mail from a class action settlement over claims that Walgreens violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by placing robocalls to pharmacy customers’ cell phones.
According to reader comments and posts on the Top Class Actions Facebook page,Class Members who submitted timely and valid claims for the Walgreens settlement began receiving checks worth as much as $27.70 on May 9, 2016.
The deadline to file a claim for the Walgreens class action settlement passed on July 22, 2015.
If you filed a claim for the Walgreens TCPA class action settlement, keep checking your mailbox because checks are on their way!
The Walgreens settlement resolves allegations that the pharmacy chain violated the TCPA by placing prerecorded calls to customers to remind them that their prescriptions were due for refills.
While Walgreens argued that the calls were necessary medical alerts, the company agreed to the terms of the settlement in order to avoid the cost of further litigation.
Class Members of the Walgreens TCPA settlement included all individuals who received a robocall prescription reminder call to their cell phones on or before Apr. 3, 2015.

I have been getting calls every month from Walgreens concerning my refills, I have requested not to receive the calls but it never stops. I never received my check
