Toyota issued a recall for more than 40,000 Lexus and Camry Hybrid vehicles over concerns their second-row center seat belts may be damaged.
The recall involves certain model year 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid and Lexus NX250, NX350 and NX350 Hybrid vehicles, and model year 2024-2025 Lexus RX350, RX350 Hybrid and RX500 Hybrid vehicles.
Toyota said it is concerned the webbing in the recalled vehicles’ second-row center seat belt may be damaged, endangering passengers and causing the vehicles to fail to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards.
“A damaged seat belt may not adequately restrain an occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash,” as stated by the NHTSA in the Toyota seat belt recall.
Toyota dealers to inspect, replace seat belt assembly in recalled Lexus, Camry Hybrid vehicles
The automaker said it plans to remedy the recall issue by having its dealers inspect the seat belt webbing in the recalled vehicles and replace the seat belt assembly if necessary, free of charge.
Individuals with more questions about the recall can contact Toyota’s customer service by phone at 1-800-331-4331 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety (NHTSA) Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
Toyota initiated a number of recalls last year, including for concerns about the loss of power brake assist, a potential tow hitch cover separation and inaccurate load-carrying capacity modification labels.

I don’t know if seatbelts were included but they never transparent with me, never gave me a receipt and had my car (brand new!) a WEEK! Then I got it picked up and it had a huge screw in the new tire and they patched it! I was furious. They still billed for it all!!!!!! And my older car prior as they didn’t turn it in on a timely basis so my taxes overlapped. A total waste of 2 weeks plus!!!!
