Zithromax Z-Pak LawsuitDisclaimer: The following information was found on an online forum serving those who allege they were injured by Zithromax side effects. If you were injured, see if you qualify for a Zithromax legal claim today.

When a 14-year study revealed that the popular antibiotic Zithromax was linked to heart problems, including heart attacks, the information spread like wildfire. CBS and Harvard alike quickly picked up the story, warning patients who had come to depend on the drug to treat everything from bronchitis to ear infections. Since antibiotics are prescribed to people of all ages, anyone could become a victim. However, Zithromax is reportedly most dangerous for those with existing heart problems.

“Within a few hours, having taken two pills on day one, I started to feel anxious. It was the worst feeling ever, like I was having a heart attack,” says one anonymous 21-year-old female patient.

“I went to the ER on the third day,” she continues. “I’m glad that I researched the antibiotic and that I’m not alone. I will never take this medication again.”

However, for others it’s already too late. Zithromax side effects can cause permanent damage and even death in some users, even in young children. A 44-year-old female patient who took Zithromax for a sinus infection lists her symptoms as, “heart palpitations, chest pain, pain in shoulders, neck and back, woozy, weak randomly, feel very weird, tired and horrible, thought I was having a heart attack at times, thought I was going to faint or fall at times.”

A 26-year-old woman taking Zithromax for upper respiratory issues says she experienced “brain fog, muscle cramps in legs and calves, dehydration and heart palpitations.”

At the core of many Zithromax lawsuits is the allegation that the drug causes heart problems. Plaintiffs claim that the warnings on the drug aren’t adequate, and they thought it was safe to take something as mainstream as an antibiotic. Their physicians were also unaware of the risks, they claim.

One 50-year-old man taking Zithromax for a sinus infection says he experienced “anxiety, depression, body pain/aches, heart palpitations and insomnia”—and that was just the beginning of his Zithromax side effects.

While many doctors in general agree that antibiotics are overprescribed, that sentiment does little to comfort the people who experience Zithromax complications like irregular heart rhythms. Another 43-year-old woman who took Z-Pak for pneumonia also lists heart palpitations as part of her symptoms, while a 52-year-old man taking it for chlamydia says he experienced “a thumping of the heart” and said, “My heart would suddenly race at any sudden sound … my heart lightly thumping for brief periods.” These may all be signs of more serious heart issues, perhaps even a heart attack.

One 28-year-old woman who took it for pelvic inflammatory disease lists “diarrhea, heart palpitations, and numbness of the body as if I’m in a state of shock” while taking Z-Pak. A 32-year-old man says his heart was pounding and his chest was racing when he took the antibiotic for chlamydia. “Crazy heart palps,” says a 49-year-old woman taking it for sinusitis. “I will never take this poison again—I just hope I will get over these crazy side effects!”

Zithromax shot to popularity because it’s strong, effective and doesn’t require as long of a regimen as other antibiotics. According to Zithromax lawsuits, the warning labels simply aren’t adequate.
